Grilled Rice Wrapped in Banana Leaves Food Photography

avatar

The lunch menu inspired me to experiment with one color for food photography.

Usually, I always try more than one color palette. But a few days ago I saw some food photography on Pinterest that only used one color tone. So I'm interested in trying that too.

There is a menu of Grilled Rice Wrapped in Banana Leaves for lunch today. It made me focus on one color, the green one.

I prepared some leaves to create some green elements.

I use banana leaves, young rice plants, and some mini passion fruits, as well as wild veggies.

I hope you guys like the results of my food photography this time with a concept that emphasizes one dominant color.

Interesting. How do you cook this Anggrek? Do you cook the rice first then wrap everything in a leave?

Yeah, the filling is ready to eat (already cooked). But the grilled process is to add a smoky fragrance and the taste will be better :)

I know that taste and I love it very much. Several years ago I went to a mountainous village and I tried something similar (rice wrap in banana leaves or bamboo). I didn't had a chance to ask them in details, so happy I read your post

Oh thanks for sharing an idea you got there one tone looks minimal which speaks volume. Added with one pop of color makes it more interesting.

I bet you enjoyed the process while thinking what to use in the table. The materials you forage is also available in my place. You made something beautiful out of what you see in around.

Enjoyed the bunos with Miau. 😆

Yeah I really enjoying the process, looking at some materials in a small forest around my house :)

Banana leaves can be great photo properties :)

Biar betul 😮 looks extremely lezat, but ofcourse its due to the vibrant colour this dish has to offer. That sticky rice do you call it pulut? Looks marvelously fragrant chargrilled in that banana leaf.
