Jala Jala Nelayan Cafe: The Best Place to Enjoy Dimsum in Medan
JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE is difficult to separate from 'dimsum' word. This authentic Chinese food chain is very well known for the delicacy of dimsum taste in Medan.
This restaurant is the best restaurant of the year for me.
JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE have many outlet in the shopping center in the city of Medan and surrounding areas.
About the Place
Visitors can feel authentic Chinese nuances from various place decorations at JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE.
I visited this cafe outlet located in a shopping center in the Binjai City.
The place is spacious enough to offer plenty of seating.
We can choose a round table for families.
If you come alone, you can choose a smaller square table.
Menu
JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE blends authentic Indonesian and Chinese flavors. The signature menu is definitely Dimsum.
There are two types of dim sum available, namely fried dimsum and steam dimsum.
Other menus that are best sellers are noodles and seafood dishes.
My choice
I tried three dishes that are popular on JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE. There are steam dimsum and also fried dimsum.
For steam dimsum, I chose Siau Mai Shrimp.
This is a dimsum variation that is highly recommended for those of you who want to enjoy dimsum with an authentic taste.
I really like the mix of flavors and textures from Siau Mai Shrimp.
For fried dimsum, I chose fried cheese sticks served with mushroom sauce and mayonnaise. I also like the taste of this dimsum variation.
I also tried the Chun Kian Salted Egg menu. For this dish, I don't really like it because it tastes too salty.
For the drink, I enjoy Iced Lemon Tea. So refreshing!
Price
Famous brands always have higher prices. And that in my opinion is reasonable.
JALA JALA NELAYAN CAFE does not disappoint with the taste and price offered.
And I will always come back again and again to this place.

Lezat! It does not look too authentic to a Chinese, but I can guarantee you one thing, even the Chinese also not producing authentic recipe anymore, even back in mainland China. LOL. Wish for a visit next time if taking a tour there !tip
