The View At The Hill Of 1000 Stairs Habibie Tourism Park

The hills and ocean are the perfect combination for a beautiful view that you won't want to miss. Also, the shady forest atmosphere to calm the mind.

One of the memories that is quite memorable. I love "me time" in the hilly area that leads to the sea view! It feels like I get a lot of positive energy so that I can work even better in the future.

This place is called 1000 Stairs Habibie Tourism Park located in Batam City. Precisely in the Dangas Beach area. We will be treated to views of the ocean close to Singapore, from the top of a hill whose forest ecosystem is still preserved.

It is called Habibie because it is closely related to the life story of B.J Habibie as the Third President of Indonesia at that time. This person really inspired many people with many works that were useful for our nation. So, Indonesian people feel excited and want to visit this place which is related to the life story of B.J Habibie.

B.J Habibie once lived in Batam City on assignment to develop the city of Batam. He then often spent time enjoying the beautiful views of this place. This is because from this location you can see the icon of Singapore.

Unfortunately, currently, the tourist location 1000 Stairs Habibie Park is not well managed so I can no longer see the 1000 stairs.

It is named 1000 stairs because there are 1000 steps from the top of the hill to the lower area, Dangas Beach. In the past, when this location was popular as a tourist spot, there were many interesting photo spots.

One iconic spot that I saw in traveler reviews on Google Maps was a small space in a tall tree that was only made of wood. From this space we can get lots of amazing views. It's just that currently access to this spot has been damaged so visitors can no longer take photos there.

Maybe the many facilities that are damaged and unsafe make this place not as busy as before.
This makes this tourist location look neglected.

Even though it was quiet, I felt that this was actually a beautiful moment for me to enjoy this beautiful view. No noise at all. It's just me, my husband, and beautiful nature. (Hmm wait, and several food vendors on site 🤣)

Actually, the road access to the 1000 Stairs Habibie Park location is quite extreme because it climbs into a hilly area. So, for those who are not used to driving a vehicle, it is best to use an experienced driver.

Arriving there, I had to pay an entrance ticket of $0.6 per person to the local guards there. I think it's quite unfortunate and not worth it. Because the facilities at this tourist location are not maintained and I shouldn't have to pay a fee for that!

Well, fortunately the view here is amazing. So I think it's still worth visiting. It's very relaxing to feel far from the city.

We can sit in several of the huts provided. Don't forget to bring your favorite food and drinks which will make you feel like you are on a picnic at this place.

The weather was foggy when I visited. So my photos are a bit gloomy. If the weather is really sunny, the views will be even better.

Well, at the 1000 Stairs Habibie Park spot we can also feel the forest atmosphere because the large, shady trees are still maintained.

Apart from that, there are several swings hanging from a large tree trunk. I'm not sure if this is safe. So I gave up my intention to ride this swing.

1000 Stairs Habibie Park is still worth visiting today even though there are no facilities that we can use. The main thing we aim for is the view of the ocean over the beautiful hills. Also the fresh air in the forest area is calming. See you on traveling stories!

This view it's so relaxing I don't know why but truly give me relaxing vibes, so sorry that most of the facilities are unsafe or damaged, unfortunately when a tourist place it's not renowned it's a big loss for tourism.

With the name I thought you were going to say you did a hike like we have here, the Manitou Incline:

(photo from Wikipedia article)

It's over 2,700 steps straight up a mountain. Extreme hikers do it (I am not an extreme hiker, lol).

Wow! What a greattt view! ^^
Getting out of the heat and busy city life, and enjoying nature, really relieves fatigue for a moment. Even I, who only enjoyed it from the photos, felt the calm vibes.

Happy holiday and Selamat Idul fitri for you and fams :)
