Without Fertilizer Still Growing Well, Almost Harvested

Initially, I was quite pessimistic about my first vegetable planting which started from seeding.

In the early days of moving plants to a larger medium, I felt the plants grow stunted. I deliberately want to try the organic method without fertilizer.

I am still in the learning phase, in the sense that I continue to learn about soil conditions and weather conditions in my home.

I am still learning the best method that I will apply to my next vegetables.

I'm Amazed

After about a month or so I planted 2 types of vegetables that were popular in Indonesia, namely Caisim and Pakcoy, finally, I saw the results that I had not completely failed.

I was amazed that Caisim had grown well beyond my expectations. I really only plant a few caisim, not more than planting pakcoy. That's because at first I really liked Pakcoy and hoped I could grow more Pakcoy.

This is the result of growth on land that is not extensive. I gave a boundary box to make the height of the planting media and avoid the frequent floods that came in my area.

Look at the size of the Caisim leaf, as wide as my palm and it's quite amazing for a vegetable that I grow organically without fertilizer.

Caisim's plant height is perfect! I became bolder to plant Caisim in the future.

Caisim VS Pakcoy

To be honest, for Pakcoy, I was not quite satisfied because it did not meet my expectations.

The stem is too small and short. But the thing to be thankful for is that Pakcoy's stems grow quite a lot.

For Caisim plants, I will continue to grow these vegetables. But for Pakcoy, maybe I will learn another method.

So in a few days, these plants are ready to be harvested for the first time. I really have two types of vegetables that I can compare.

Later after harvest, I also compare the taste of the two of them when cooked.
