Drinking Coffee While Dealing With Losing
This is my experience last month when I had to face the loss of my mother who passed away at the age of 65.
After losing my mother, I spent more time in the city where my brother lives, in the city of Aceh. They're close to the ocean. I feel calmer when I'm in the ocean.
I visited a place for coffee on the edge of Laguna. It is also in an unused city building. It is quite popular with the public from the afternoon before sunset until the evening.
Actually, the place that sells coffee and snacks is not permanent. They use special cars to open their business. Then added portable tables and chairs that can easily be moved.
They also decorated the place with beautiful light bulbs. The beautiful decoration is combined with the calming atmosphere of the surrounding ocean. This place is perfect for us to relax in the afternoon.
The most important thing is that they offer a wide menu of coffee and snacks for only one dollar. A recommended choice of course.
I only ordered a vanilla latte at that time. For one dollar. The coffee they serve is quite delicious. And I was enough to be my friend there, to accept the new reality of life.
There is my partner, oh, also a beautiful fluffy cat who faithfully accompanies me.

With the wind that blows, also the wide sky, and the ocean in front of me makes my chest more spacious, more relieved. Like the vastness of the ocean, I realize that's how life must go on indefinitely. Keep moving, and pick up our own lives.
Looking at the sky, I hope that all this time it's better for my mother to be happy to see that I can find my own path. At least, I feel quite calm when I always convince myself that my mother has been the best mother so far and she has succeeded in making me the best version of myself.
Losing teaches us many things. What should have gone, will go. It's not that they don't love those they left behind, but instead, they know the right time to leave. Those of us who are left behind only need to learn to live new days without them. Memories will last forever. And love is what we always carry in our hearts forever.
