Greetings to all! This beautiful little angel is a walker of my street, painfully, he has owners, but under the indifferent gaze of the environment, he is in a state of abandonment. If he didn't have owners, I would look for ways to adopt him, or find him a family that really cares for him, but the situation is complex.

I named him Caminante, because he walks every day from one place to another, he always plays with my Lupe who, when she sees him passing by, if we are in the garden, runs out to make him cuddles. They look like two children. Every time I see him, I give him something to eat because I know he is not eating well, but the most noticeable thing is his state of health. From his physical characteristics, it was evident that he had parasites since his fur was stiff and parts of his body were peeling, his thinness, his eyes were watery, in short, many signs of these animals in his organism.

Last month, my herd was due for deworming, and I bought several boxes of dewormers. The cats were given half a tablet of Pramectin in two doses of 21 days in between. To give it to them, I took a small ball of ground meat and crushed the tablet by placing it in the center. I kneaded the meat ball and mixed it with the pill and the kittens devoured the meat without realizing I had the dewormer in it.

Since I had leftover pills, I made a logistic with a friend so that together we could give the dose to our walking kitty to help him somehow rid his body of parasites that of course, were screwing up his life. Too bad I don't have any before pictures so you could notice the change. Before giving him the first dose, he had parts of his body with little wool, the little hairs looked like wire, his eyes were irritated and full of blood in his eyes, very thin, but something that caught my attention the most, his tail was almost bald.

In these photos, we are giving him the second dose of deworming, and days later we took other photos and we were surprised by his evolution. Caminante has a bushy tail, his wool has grown and doesn't look like wire, his eyes are less swollen and he doesn't have almost no more spittle, he is chubbier, considering that whenever I can I give him something to eat and other neighbors have also done it, but he still needs more care, a bath, and a lot of love. Every day I pray that someone sees him and is moved by his heart and takes him home, I can't because I would surely get into trouble, and the saddest thing is that the competent agencies know about the case and turn a blind eye. I can only pray always for the beautiful walker, and support him as far as I can.

¡Saludos a todos! Esta hermosura de angelito es un caminante de mi calle, dolorosamente, tiene dueños, pero ante la mirada indiferente del entorno, él se encuentra en estado de abandono. Si no tuviera dueños, buscaría las maneras de adoptarlo, o conseguirle una familia que realmente lo cuide, pero la situación es compleja.

Le puse Caminante, porque él camina todos los días de un lado a otro, juega siempre con mi Lupe quien al verlo pasar, si estamos en el jardín, sale corriendo a hacerle cariños. Parecen dos niños. Cada vez que lo veo, le doy algo de comer porque sé que no se está alimentando bien, pero lo más notorio es su estado de salud. Por las características físicas, era evidente que tenía parásitos ya que su pelito estaba tieso y partes de su cuerpo peladas, su delgadez, los ojitos lagañosos, en fin, muchas señales de estos animales en su organismo.

El mes pasado, le correspondía el proceso de desparasitación a mi manada, y compré varias cajas de desparasitantes. A los gatos les tocaba media pastilla de Pramectina en dos dosis de 21 días intermedio. Para dárselas, agarré una bolita de carne molida y trituré la pastilla colocándola en el centro. Amasé la bolita de carne y se mezcló con la pastilla y los gatitos devoraron la carne sin darse cuenta de que tenía el desparasitante.

Como me sobraron pastillas, hice una logística con una amiguita para que juntas le diéramos la dosis a nuestro gatito caminante y así ayudarlo de alguna manera a liberar su cuerpo de parásitos que por supuesto, le estaban fastidiando la vida. Lástima que no tengo fotos del antes para que pudieran notar el cambio. Antes de darle la primera dosis, tenía partes del cuerpo con poca lana, los pelitos parecían de alambre, sus ojos irritados y llenos de lagañas con sangre, muy delgado, pero algo que me llamó más la atención, su rabo casi pelado.

En estas fotos, le estamos dando la segunda dosis del desparasitante, y días después le tomamos otras fotos y nos sorprendimos de su evolución. Caminante tiene su cola más poblada, la lana le creció y ya no parece de alambre, sus ojitos se desinflamaron y ya no tiene casi nada de lagañas, está más gordito, considerando que siempre que puedo le doy algo de comer y otros vecinos también lo han hecho, pero sigue necesitando más cuidados, un baño, y mucho amor. Todos los días pido que alguien lo vea y se le conmueva el corazón y se lo lleve a su casa, yo no puedo porque seguramente me metería en problemas, y lo más triste es que los organismos competentes conocen el caso y se hacen de la vista gorda. Sólo me queda orar siempre por el hermoso caminante, y apoyarlo hasta donde me sea posible.
