Como cada jueves de recuerdos, aquí les comparto mi participación de hoy, jueves 11 de abril de 2024 en el Concurso de Tbt convocado por nuestro amigo José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, para la comunidad #topfamiliy. Hace pocos días fue el cumpleaños 34 de mi hijo mayor, así que hoy me fui directamente a las imágenes que guardo de mis hijos ya que quería dedicarle el #tbt de hoy a él por su aniversario, pero no me pude resistir a compartir esta imagen que para mí es una de las que titulo: “La foto”.

En ella están mis dos únicos hijos, el cumpleañero, mi príncipe encantado y a quien llamo mi pancito dulce porque tiene una dulzura innata que llena de melao a todos en la familia desde que estaba pequeño, y mi princesa, mi pequeñita que ya no es tan pequeñita pero para mí lo seguirá siendo para siempre. Ella es la traviesa de los dos, la que le enseñó a él a hacer las travesuras más locas de la infancia… les puedo asegurar que lo que no se le ocurría a él, a ella se le ocurría varias veces, jajajaja.

A few days ago was my oldest son's 34th birthday, so today I went straight to the images I keep of my children since I wanted to dedicate today's #tbt to him for his anniversary, but I couldn't resist sharing this image that for me is one of the ones I title: "The photo".

In it are my only two children, the birthday boy, my prince charming and who I call my sweet little bread because he has an innate sweetness that fills everyone in the family with honeymoon since he was little, and my princess, my little girl who is not so little anymore but for me will remain so forever. She is the naughty one of the two, the one who taught him to make the craziest childhood pranks... I can assure you that what he couldn't think of, she could think of several times, hahahaha.

Mis hijos son mi vida, creo que esta expresión es la más repetida por los padres, pero es porque nos sale del alma. En esta foto estábamos en el foto estudio de un primo, y habíamos viajado la casa de mi familia paterna a visitar a mis tíos, en Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. Mi primo quiso hacerles esta foto a mis hijos como un regalo para el recuerdo. La imagen data del año 2.000, y de ella sacaron varias copias que se repartieron a las dos familias, la mía, y la de su papá.

Cuando mis hijos ven estas fotos de recuerdo, bromean muchísimo, incluso, las comparten en sus celulares. Ésta es una de sus favoritas, y la mía también. Dos detalles en la foto que no olvido; era el día siguiente a la navidad, y lo recuerdo porque mi hijo estaba estrenando ese abrigo que yo le regalé, y mi hija llevaba en el pecho una cadena con la medalla del Divino Niño que le había regalado mi prima Gigí (QEPD), que era su tía madrina.

Cada foto del recuerdo no nos trae a la memoria únicamente el momento, el lugar y quienes están en ella, sino los detalles y su historia.

My children are my life, I think this expression is the most repeated by parents, but it is because it comes from our soul. In this photo we were in the photo studio of a cousin, and we had traveled to my paternal family's house to visit my aunt and uncle in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. My cousin wanted to take this picture for my children as a gift for the memory. The picture dates back to the year 2000, and several copies were made and distributed to both my family and their father's family.

When my children see these souvenir photos, they joke a lot and even share them on their cell phones. This is one of their favorites, and mine too. Two details in the photo that I do not forget; it was the day after Christmas, and I remember it because my son was wearing for the first time that coat that I gave him, and my daughter was wearing on her chest a chain with the medal of the Divine Child that my cousin Gigí (RIP), who was her godmother aunt, had given her.

Each photo of the memory does not only bring to mind the moment, the place and those who are in it, but also the details and its history.
