Saludos a todos. Como cada jueves de recuerdos, aquí les comparto mi participación de hoy, jueves 04 de enero de 2024 en el Concurso de Tbt convocado por nuestro amigo José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, para la comunidad #topfamiliy. Cada semana, compartimos un recuerdo fotográfico, y el de hoy es el primero del año 2024, así que busqué entre mis registros de inicio de año, alguno que coincidiera con esta fecha y me encontré éste del 2018, en el primer apartamento de mi hija el día siguiente después que recibimos el año. Por los fuegos pirotécnicos, yo no podía dejar a Copo de Nieve solo en la casa ya que era un viejito y eso lo hacía más sensible, aunado a eso, su ansiedad por las condiciones en las que lo rescatamos de la calle. Por eso me lo llevé conmigo, y a las 12 de la medianoche, tuve que encerrarme en una habitación del medio con él y la TV encendida, para que se calmara un poco.

Each week, we share a photographic memory, and today's is the first one of the year 2024, so I searched among my records of the beginning of the year, one that coincided with this date and I found this one of 2018, in my daughter's first apartment the next day after we received the year. Because of the fireworks, I could not leave Snowflake alone in the house since he was an old man and that made him more sensitive, added to that, his anxiety because of the conditions in which we rescued him from the street. So I took him with me, and at 12 midnight, I had to lock myself in a middle room with him and the TV on, to calm him down a bit.

El apartamento estaba en la parte superior de una casa en una urbanización. La mañana siguiente, salí a pasearlo por los alrededores, todo estaba muy solitario y tranquilo, y mi viejito disfrutó su caminata matutina. Las pocas personas que estaban por ahí, se detenían a hacerle cariños, y él se emocionaba con las muestras de afecto. Cuando regresamos, subió emocionado sus escaleras y mi hija lo esperaba en el escalón superior y le tomó esta foto, bueno, nos tomó la foto a los dos.

Ese fin de año lo pasé con mi hija y su pareja, como ha sido siempre desde hace varios años. Con Copo de Nieve era fácil salir de la casa y llevarlo conmigo porque se portaba muy bien en todos lados, pero no he podido lograr lo mismo con Snoopy, y por eso desde hace un par de años, cenamos fuera pero recibimos el año aquí, para poder acompañar a las mascotas durante el alboroto de los cohetes.

That New Year's Eve was spent with my daughter and her partner, as it has always been for several years. With Snowflake it was easy to leave the house and take him with me because he was very well behaved everywhere, but I have not been able to achieve the same with Snoopy, and so for the last couple of years, we dined out but welcomed the year here, so that we could accompany the pets during the rocket ruckus.
