Saludos a todos. Como cada jueves de recuerdos, aquí les comparto mi participación de hoy, jueves 21 de marzo de 2024 en el Concurso de Tbt convocado por nuestro amigo José Lanz, @lanzjoseg, para la comunidad #topfamiliy. Tengo un álbum fotográfico en físico que para mí es uno de los más especiales de todos, ya que se trata de los registros fotográficos de mi paso por las aulas escolares. Esta foto que comparto hoy, es de mis tiempos como docente activa. Data del año 2005, por lo que ya casi va a cumplir 20 años. Todos los adolescentes que se encuentran en la imagen, ya son hombres y mujeres, graduados, casados, y con hijos, en su mayoría.

En esa época, me desempeñaba como Prof. De Castellano y Literatura de 7º a 9º grado, y coordinaba la Comisión de Cultura en secundaria. Se me ocurrió crear los Viernes Culturales, para que los chicos desarrollaran periódicamente actos, bailes y obras de teatro que les permitieran cultivar nuestro folklore y nuestras tradiciones.

I have a physical photo album that for me is one of the most special of all, since it is the photographic records of my time in the classroom. This photo that I share today is from my time as an active teacher. It dates from 2005, so it is almost 20 years old. All the teenagers in the picture are now men and women, graduated, married, and with children, for the most part.

At that time, I was a Spanish and Literature teacher from 7th to 9th grade, and I was coordinating the Culture Commission in high school. It occurred to me to create the Viernes Culturales (Cultural Fridays), so that the children could periodically develop acts, dances and plays that would allow them to cultivate our folklore and traditions.

De esa manera cada viernes desde la hora de receso, tenían una hora para sentarse alrededor de la cancha y disfrutar de dos o tres actos desempeñados por sus compañeros. Lo que más me gustó de esta labor, es el nivel de compañerismo que se alcanzó, y la cantidad de chicos que se integraron. Cultura era la comisión con más integrantes, y de allí nacieron grupos que representaban al colegio en forma local y regional, como el parrandón navideño, la coral, y los chicos que iban al Concurso Llanero Juvenil Cantaclaro.

De esta imagen guardo un recuerdo muy especial, ya que el grupo era de 8º grado y los alumnos eran de distintas secciones, de las cuales, yo era Orientadora en dos de ellas. Ellos fueron mis primeros alumnos al iniciarme en aulas de primaria, y en la imagen se encuentra mi hija, @rosamariapegadoo quien formaba parte del grupo de cultura, y que también fue mi alumna en el colegio donde yo laboraba. El baile que presentaron era un Pasaje Llanero, y los chicos llevaban tiempo ensayando sus pasos. Realmente fue una presentación muy hermosa, me llena de orgullo haberlos preparado en este baile, y en el refuerzo de sus raíces culturales… pero sobre todo, haber dejado en ellos huellitas de sabiduría que son indelebles.

What I liked most about this work was the level of camaraderie that was achieved, and the number of children who joined. Culture was the committee with the most members, and from it were born groups that represented the school locally and regionally, such as the Christmas parrandón, the choir, and the kids who went to the Llanero Juvenil Cantaclaro Contest.

I have a very special memory of this image, since the group was from the 8th grade and the students were from different sections, of which I was the Guidance Counselor in two of them. They were my first students when I started in elementary classrooms, and in the picture is my daughter, @rosamariapegadoo who was part of the culture group, and who was also my student at the school where I worked. The dance they presented was a Pasaje Llanero, and the kids had been rehearsing their steps for a long time. It was really a very beautiful presentation, and I am very proud to have prepared them in this dance, and in the reinforcement of their cultural roots... but above all, to have left in them little traces of wisdom that are indelible.
