LA HISTORIA DETRÁS DEL PARQUE “LA BANDERA”, EN EL TIGRE (Es – En)
Días atrás, tuve la satisfacción de publicar un contenido muy bonito acerca de algunos sitios emblemáticos de mi ciudad, pero la selección fue difícil, porque recorriendo la historia de ella, me di cuenta cuántas cosas interesantes posee y que incluso, yo no conocía.
El Tigre es un lugar más histórico que turístico, porque su fundación data desde los años del auge petrolero, a pesar de que ya su pequeña población estaba formada. Posterior a la llegada de pobladores de otras regiones por el descubrimiento del petróleo en sus suelos, se creó una empresa llamada Agrícola Guanipa, C.A (Aguanca), por allá por los años 60. Era popularmente conocida con el nombre de Complejo Manisero de Aguanca.
Con la creación de esta compañía, se fomentó la siembra de maní como rubro de gran demanda en la Mesa de Guanipa, lo que viene siendo la zona sur del estado Anzoátegui, y en ella se construyeron unos silos inmensos, en los que se depositaba el maní cosechado. Gracias a este Complejo Manisero, gran parte de la población tigrense de aquellos años, tuvo otra fuente de empleo.
A few days ago, I had the satisfaction of publishing a very nice content about some emblematic sites of my city, but the selection was difficult, because going through the history of it, I realized how many interesting things it has and that even I did not know.
El Tigre is a place more historical than touristic, because its foundation dates back to the years of the oil boom, even though its small population was already formed. After the arrival of settlers from other regions due to the discovery of oil in its soils, a company called Agrícola Guanipa, C.A. (Aguanca) was created in the 1960s. It was popularly known as Complejo Manisero de Aguanca.
With the creation of this company, the planting of peanuts was promoted as an item of great demand in the Mesa de Guanipa, which is the southern zone of the state of Anzoátegui, and immense silos were built in which the harvested peanuts were deposited. Thanks to this Peanut Complex, a great part of the population of Tigray in those years had another source of employment.
Con el pasar del tiempo, y el boom petrolero, fueron desertando de esta actividad agrícola, y los silos quedaron en abandono, al igual que la empresa y los terrenos donde estaba ubicada. En estas dos últimas décadas, la alcaldía de El Tigre, conjuntamente con el artista tigrense Rafael Bogarín, mejoraron el aspecto de los silos y el terreno, convirtiéndola en la bandera venezolana más grande del país al pintarlos con los tres colores y colocarle sus estrellas blancas.
Recientemente, la alcaldía promovió un proyecto de restauración de la bandera, pintando nuevamente los silos, y en el terreno que la ocupa, construyeron un parque familiar donde los emprendedores venden comidas, bebidas, postres, y artesanías tradicionales. También tiene columpios, juegos para los niños, y un hermoso espacio recreativo donde la familia puede compartir momentos agradables.
El Parque La Bandera se convirtió en uno de los sitios emblemáticos más visitados de El Tigre, no sólo por lo que hoy representa para los tigrenses, sino por su contexto histórico. Se encuentra ubicado en la Av. Intercomunal Tigre – Tigrito, frente a la Redoma de Aguanca.
With the passing of time, and the oil boom, they deserted this agricultural activity, and the silos were abandoned, as well as the company and the land where it was located. In the last two decades, the mayor's office of El Tigre, together with the artist Rafael Bogarín, improved the appearance of the silos and the land, turning it into the largest Venezuelan flag in the country by painting it with the three colors and placing its white stars.
Recently, the mayor's office promoted a project to restore the flag, repainting the silos, and on the land it occupies, they built a family park where entrepreneurs sell food, drinks, desserts, and traditional handicrafts. It also has swings, games for children, and a beautiful recreational space where the family can share pleasant moments.
La Bandera Park has become one of the most visited emblematic sites in El Tigre, not only because of what it represents today for the people of Tigre, but also because of its historical context. It is located on Intercomunal Tigre - Tigrito Avenue, in front of the Redoma de Aguanca.

Que maravilloso saber sobre esto que.nos cuentas amiga, yo los había visto en el perfil de alguien por Instagram pero no busqué realmente, pero gracias a ti ahora sabemos un poco de su historia, y justamente esa es la idea de esta iniciativa,poder conocer lugares de su localidad, donde ustedes sean los protagonistas de contarnos su visión sobre el lugar. Que hayan restaurado esa zona y convertirlo en un parque familia me parece estupendo porque no queda como un terreno baldío.

A mí me encantó la oportunidad que nos dieron con esta iniciativa, porque a veces una hermosa imagen, un paisaje, o un sitio en especial, tiene detrás una gran historia, y quería narrar ésta. Crecí con la historia de los silos de la bandera que fueron creados un año después de mi nacimiento, y ver toda la trayectoria hasta lo que hoy representan, es increíble.

Sí, esa bandera tiene una historia interesante. Pasar de silos de maní a bandera y luego a parque, es algo que muchos desconocían.

De verdad que sí, para como estaba de descuidado y abandonado, hicieron un gran trabajo.
Hoy en día no es ni la sombra de aquel lugar.

La idea de la bandera fue genial, pero más aún el rescate de aquel terreno abandonado y hasta peligroso, para convertirlo en un sitio recreativo.
