Hello, everyone—a very special greeting to the members of this community. Today I’m joining Initiative #298, titled: Ladies of Hive Community Contest #298, thanks to an invitation from my friend @chacald.dcymt. I'm extending the same invitation to my friend @mercmarg.

The questions raised are as follows:

1.- If given the opportunity, what would you do for those who saved the lives of children or those who never tire of getting aid to the survivors, during the recent earthquake in Venezuela?

First and foremost, I want to thank you all and offer my deepest gratitude for your solidarity and the kindness of your hearts. But immediately afterward, I want to offer my support to the best of my ability, because every little bit helps in this process and is vital. I have witnessed the power of mobilization and teamwork that has emanated from the Venezuelan people since the first day of the tragedy, and each person has offered their help according to their abilities and even beyond. We were like ants in a time of crisis, and we are still part of this process, because the tragedy continues. The unity of so many hearts in bringing everything necessary to the disaster zone has been truly moving.

Volunteers and machinery are still needed to help remove rubble and recover the bodies that their families hope to find and give them a proper burial. Volunteers need prepared food, water, gloves, flashlights, alcohol, face masks, among many other essential items. The final task is as sad and difficult as it was in the first few days, and trained people are needed to support this work.

Collection centers across the country remain open and are accepting donations. It is suggested that many people join together to prepare meals for volunteers, requesting support from local collection centers that can supply non-perishable food items, and creating verified bank accounts or accounts with the foundations themselves to receive cash donations to purchase materials for this preparation.

2.- How can we keep the door open for donations from other countries so Venezuela can buy blankets and flashlights for the child survivors who are in a difficult situation?

Spreading tirelessly across all social media platforms, daily, day and night, with clear and specific messages.


Social media is the most accessible way to learn about the ongoing reality. Many people have lost everything, not only family members, but also their homes and belongings. They are currently in shelters, and many essential items are urgently needed.

In this image, you can see some organizations that are receiving donations in Venezuela.

And in the area where I am, these locations continue to serve as collection centers:

-Caritas Venezuela (San José Church - San José de Guanipa Parish)
-Cuantía Express - Orinoco (Los Pinos Shopping Center - El Tigre)
-"Quiero un ángel" Foundation (International Gran Hotel - El Tigre)
-"Huellas por la vida" Foundation (Pet Collection Center - El Tigre)

Similarly, in the city of Caracas, the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) is a collection center.

Hola a todos, un saludo muy especial a los miembros de esta comunidad. Hoy me uno a la iniciativa #298, titulada: Ladies of Hive Community Contest #298, gracias a una invitación que me hizo mi amiga @chacald.dcymt. La misma la extiendo a mi amiga @mercmarg.

Las preguntas planteadas son las siguientes:

1.- Si tuvieras la oportunidad, ¿Qué harías por aquellas personas que salvaron la vida de niños o por quienes no se cansan de llevar ayuda a los supervivientes durante el reciente terremoto en Venezuela?

Ante todo, agradecerles, y darles infinitas bendiciones por su solidaridad y la bondad de sus corazones, pero acto seguido, brindar mi apoyo en la medida de lo posible, porque todo granito de arena en este proceso cuenta y es vital. He sido testigo del poder de convocatoria y el trabajo en equipo que ha emanado del pueblo venezolano desde el primer día de la tragedia, y cada persona ha brindado su ayuda desde sus capacidades y aún más. Parecíamos hormiguitas en momentos de crisis y aún seguimos dentro de este proceso, porque la tragedia continúa. Ha sido realmente conmovedora la unión de tantos corazones para hacer llegar todo lo necesario hasta la zona de la tragedia.

Aún se requieren voluntarios y maquinarias para ayudar a remover escombros y recuperar los cuerpos que sus familiares esperan encontrar y así darles cristiana sepultura. Los voluntarios necesitan alimentos ya preparados, agua, guantes, linternas, alcohol, tapabocas, entre muchas otras cosas de primera necesidad. La tarea final es tan triste y difícil como la de los primeros días y se necesita gente capacitada para apoyar esta labor.

Los centros de acopio en todo el país siguen abiertos recibiendo donativos, y se sugiere que muchas personas se unan para preparar comidas a los voluntarios, solicitando apoyo de los centros de acopio locales que puedan suministrarles alimentos no perecederos, y creando cuentas bancarias verificadas o de las mismas fundaciones, para recibir donativos en efectivo que permitan adquirir materiales para esa preparación.

2.- ¿Cómo podemos mantener abierta la posibilidad de recibir donaciones de otros países?

Difundiendo información relevante, incansablemente en todas las redes sociales, a diario, día y noche, y con mensajes claros y específicos.

Las redes sociales son la vía más accesible para conocer la realidad que sigue presente. Hay mucha gente que perdió todo, no sólo sus familiares, sino sus casas y sus pertenencias. Están ubicados en refugios y se necesitan muchos artículos de primera necesidad con urgencia.

En esta imagen pueden ver algunas organizaciones que están recibiendo donativos en Venezuela.

Y en la zona donde estoy, estos lugares siguen siendo centros de acopio:
-Cáritas de Venezuela (Iglesia San José - Parroquia San José de Guanipa)
-Cuantía Express - Orinoco (Centro Comercial Los Pinos - El Tigre)
-Fundación "Quiero un ángel" (Internacional Gran Hotel - El Tigre)
-Fundación "Huellas por la vida" (Centro de acopio para mascotas - El Tigre)

De igual manera, en la ciudad de Caracas, la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) es Centro de Acopio.

Es bueno conocer los centros de acopio que tenemos en todo el país. Podemos llevar cobijas, linternas, medicamentos y toda una lista de artículos necesarios que se estan pidiendo con urgencia.
