Cada mañana siento el deseo y la necesidad imperiosa de comenzar mi día con una taza de café, me da energía. A veces me queda muy poco porque se me acaba antes de hacer el mercado, entonces como lo preparo en colador de tela, me toca colarlo varias veces para que no quede tan simple. También invento hacer café con leche y así no se siente tan suave, aunque a mi el café fuerte no me gusta, soy fan del guayoyo que es tradicional en mi llano. Hoy saqué mis tazas navideñas, sí, en julio, soy team navidad, y desde aquí hasta enero, ya las tazas con motivos decembrinos acompañarán los cafés de estos meses... tengo cuatro, a ver cuántas incorporo este año a la colección, pero que así sea en pequeñas porciones, que nunca me falte un cafecito cada mañana, y si se puede, el de la merienda en la tarde también.

Every morning I feel the overwhelming desire and need to start my day with a cup of coffee; it gives me energy. Sometimes I have very little left because it runs out before I can do the grocery shopping, so since I make it in a cloth filter, I have to strain it several times so it's not so weak. I also make coffee with milk, which makes it less weak, although I don't like strong coffee. I'm a fan of guayoyo, which is traditional in my plains. Today I got out my Christmas mugs—yes, in July! I'm team Christmas, and from now until January, these mugs with holiday motifs will accompany my coffees during these months. I have four; we'll see how many more I add to the collection this year, but even if it's just in small portions, I'll never go without a little coffee each morning, and if possible, one for my afternoon snack too.
