One of the things that always make me think and even upset me a little, is when I read or someone talks about the moving process that involves pets, especially if it is a change of city, and even more delicate, a change of country. To achieve this change, a delicate and well-organized logistics is required so that our furry ones do not have any inconvenience. There is also the case of those who are often absent from the city for work reasons, and live alone with their pets, if there is no one who can take care of them, they stay in a daycare center for safety, but this also implies certain details. What is important is that the pets are well.

I have a very special little friend who lives alone in another country with his pets, and is often forced to be away from home for work. Sometimes his absence takes months, so he was forced to leave his three kittens and two puppies in a daycare center. The last work trip kept him out of the house even longer, so the furry kids spent a long time in daycare. From there they constantly sent him a report on the condition of their pets, and any eventuality that needed to be reported. Some of them are now seniors.

A few days ago, she told me that she had to move to another place for a while, and that she had to organize the transfer of her furry ones to the new home.It is a large and open space, there are several members of her family living there, and there are not only other dogs and kittens but also more animals, it is a farm. While he was making the logistics for the transfer, he was informed that one of the kittens died, he was 16 years old. This pain makes him feel bad because he thinks it could have been due to sadness because it is the first time he has been away for so long. Finally he was able to bring the other pets to the farm, they all arrived well, thank God, the dogs stayed with their mother in the city, very close to where he is now, and the two kittens came to the farm with him because they are safer there.

At the beginning they did not feel comfortable, they were all over the house exploring, but after a while they not only adapted but they were able to socialize with the other cats. I think they acquired that ability at the daycare by living with other unfamiliar pets on a daily basis. These changes are not easy for our furry children, it requires a lot of attention, and if we want to have them, we must keep all this in mind when we move, because they are part of our family.

Una de las cosas que siempre me ponen a pensar y hasta me alteran un poco, es cuando leo o alguien habla, del proceso de mudanza que integra a las mascotas, sobre todo si se trata de cambio de ciudad, y más delicado aún, cambio de país. Para lograr este cambio, se requiere de una logística delicada y bien organizada para que nuestros peluditos no tengan ningún inconveniente. También está el caso de quienes deben ausentarse a menudo de la ciudad por cuestiones de trabajo, y viven solos con las mascotas, si no hay nadie que pueda atenderlos, ellos se quedan en alguna guardería para mayor seguridad, pero esto implica también ciertos detalles. Lo que se trata es que las mascotas estén bien.

Tengo un amiguito muy especial que vive solo en otro país con sus mascotas, y se ve obligado a ausentarse a menudo de la casa por cuestiones laborales. A veces su ausencia lleva meses, por lo que se vio obligado a dejar a sus tres gatitos y sus dos perritos, en una guardería. La última salida laboral lo mantuvo más tiempo fuera de la casa, por lo que los niños peludos pasaron una larga temporada en la guardería. Desde allí le enviaban constantemente un reporte del estado de sus mascotas, y cualquier eventualidad que debiera ser informada. Algunos de ellos ya son adultos mayores.

Días atrás, me contó que se tuvo que radicar en otro sitio por un tiempo, y que tenía que organizar el traslado de sus peludos al nuevo hogar. Es un espacio amplio y abierto, allí habitan varios miembros de su familia, y no sólo hay otros perritos y gatitos sino que hay más animales, es una finca. Mientras hacía la logística para el traslado, le comunicaron que uno de los gatitos murió, tenía 16 años. Ese dolor lo tiene mal porque piensa que pudo ser de tristeza porque es la primera vez que se ausenta por tanto tiempo. Por fin pudo traer a la finca a las demás mascotas, todos llegaron bien, gracias a Dios, los perritos se quedaron con su mamá en la ciudad, muy cerca de donde él está ahorita, y los dos gatitos, se vinieron a la finca con él porque allí están más seguros.

Al principio no se sentían cómodos, andaban por toda la casa explorando pero al rato no sólo se adaptaron sino que pudieron socializar con los demás gatos. Pienso que esa facultad la adquirieron en la guardería al convivir con otras mascotas desconocidas a diario. Estos cambios no son fáciles para nuestros niños peludos, requiere mucha atención, y si deseamos tenerlos, debemos tener todo esto presente al momento de mudarnos, porque ellos forman parte de nuestra familia.
