I have had a passion for photography for a long time, I could say since I was a teenager, but I had never visualized photography as a relaxing therapy until some friends who are part of my training group suggested it as a way to release the stress of the day. They only use their cell phones and little by little they have been creating a photo gallery that also relaxes those of us who admire it.

Since last month, I started my photography routines and I could see that I am not only learning tricks to capture good images, but I am also discovering many things that until now went unnoticed in my day to day life. My cell phone has many functions in the camera that I do not understand, nor have I put into practice, and now is when I am getting to know them.

Desde hace mucho tiempo he sentido pasión por la fotografía, podría asegurar que desde que estaba adolescente, pero jamás había visualizado la actividad fotográfica como una terapia relajante hasta que algunas amigas que forman parte de mi grupo de entrenamiento, lo sugirieron como una manera de liberar el estrés del día. Únicamente se valen de su teléfono móvil y poco a poco han ido creando una galería fotográfica que también relaja a quienes la admiramos.

Desde el mes pasado, inicié mis rutinas de fotografía y pude comprobar que no sólo voy aprendiendo trucos para capturar buenas imágenes, sino que voy descubriendo también muchas cosas que hasta ahora pasaban desapercibidas para mi día a día. Mi celular tiene muchas funciones en la cámara que no comprendo, ni tampoco he puesto en práctica, y ahora es cuando las estoy conociendo.

I decided to give this therapeutic and at the same time photographic learning activity, an organization by category. Forgive me if, being a novice at this, I don't get the best images, but I hope to be perfecting my techniques. I will be categorizing and listing my achievements, and I will put a number and title to each outing in search of interesting images.

I started weeks ago with sunsets, but as I have already published many recently, I will leave that category for later in a new set of sunsets of the plains. I confess that my city has some spectacular sunsets, never one is the same as the other, and the sky together with the sun, conspire to give us an impressive range of colors.

Decidí darle a esta actividad terapéutica y al mismo tiempo de aprendizaje fotográfico, una organización por categoría. Discúlpenme si por ser novata en esto no logro las mejores imágenes pero espero ir perfeccionando las técnicas. Iré categorizando y enumerando mis logros, y a cada salida en la búsqueda de imágenes interesantes, le colocaré número y título.

Mi inicio semanas atrás fue con los atardeceres, pero como ya publiqué muchos recientemente, dejaré esa categoría para más adelante en un nuevo set de atardeceres llaneros. Les confieso que mi ciudad tiene unos atardeceres espectaculares, nunca uno es igual al otro, y el cielo junto con el sol, conspiran para brindarnos una gama de colores impresionante.

But in this photographic exercise number 1, I wanted to start with forms of the vegetable nature, those transformations that the trunks of the trees suffer, as well as the branches, how strange forms are drawn on the surface of the trunk, and the way how from their roots they defy any space to develop as they see fit.

I confess that while I was walking along the path hunting for my best models, I experienced an immense sense of well-being.

Pero en este ejercicio fotográfico número 1, quise iniciar con formas de la naturaleza vegetal, esas transformaciones que van sufriendo los troncos de los árboles, así como también las ramas, cómo se dibujan sobre la superficie del tronco formas extrañas, y la manera cómo desde sus raíces desafían cualquier espacio para desarrollarse como mejor les parece.

Les confieso que mientras iba recorriendo el camino cazando mis mejores modelos, experimentaba una inmensa sensación de bienestar.
