SHOPPING ON CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas shopping is always the most hectic of the year, and even more so if it is left to the last moment... but we cannot forget that Venezuelans live from day to day, and buy according to their income. It would be great to be able to buy everything at once with more time in advance, but it is not an easy task.

In my case, I buy as my income arrives in some ventures, in Hive, and what my children contribute to me accumulates, but it is inevitable not to join the crazy purchases of these days of Christmas Eve, so Here I am going to visit the most popular places today, Friday, December 23, for Venezuelans, in this case the popular markets, Asian groceries, bakeries, toy stores, and clothing and shoe sales.

Maybe I will not buy everything I want, but I will look for prices that are accessible to my budget to receive Christmas with the basic things, food for me and my pets, and one or another snack for Christmas Eve... the most beautiful thing, after all, is this Christmas, is to be united as much as possible, and fill homes with harmony to wait for the birth of the Child God.

This is where my shopping tour begins this Friday, and on Christmas Eve… they're going to see how my city is doing.

My first purchase was at the Municipal Market of El Tigre, where I get the freshest and cheapest sardines for my herd. At once I took the opportunity to buy my cassava cakes that cannot be missing in my house, like a good llanera.

Then I went to an Asian grocery store in the city, which is a bit small but is where they sell at more affordable prices, which is why there are always huge queues. There I bought the chicken, which is one of the proteins I use the most in meals, the sauce to prepare a pasty that I have pending, chocolate cookies and panettone for Christmas, and most important of all, food for my puppy Snoopy.

Then I took a walk through the fabric stores to buy some cuts and have some blouses made. There they had many discounts and I took the opportunity to buy several.

It was a hectic morning because the streets are very crowded, there are long lines of cars on the avenues, and that takes up a lot of time, but I managed to buy what was necessary for these days and that is the most important thing.

I finished my purchases with eggs and cheese, which I always buy in a place in the city where they sell very good quality products.

Hello Isma, hahaha, I like to review a lot of things when I go to Tigre, it's not always. I support you with the Panettone, it was very expensive and I didn't take it, and they had it cheaper there than in the rest of the places, they all cost $15 and up, how sad. The dessert of the night was the milky sweet that was still in the fridge, hehe. Greetings beautiful!! 🤗🎄

Hello! Hello! Market Friday is running so late this week, I was under the spell of the Christmas holiday, surrounded by family and obligations, although they are heart-warming wonderful ones! I tried to get many done, but, fell short on the ones posted a little later. I apologize for the delay in answering and I hope you know how much I appreciate the great participation. I might not be able to comment all as my time is not my own - for this time. I will always upvote when I get the time, but, I wanted to be fair and let you know.

I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. By now, you must know how much I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and, make yours or mine better in any way. I have been given hints to make life nicer, and recipes to make dinner interesting. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators than the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, sometimes money means very little when there is no value behind it. You cannot buy health although you can take care of what you have. Being educated isn't always about schooling, but acquiring knowledge and using it for the better good and happiness of the society you are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind. Thank you for being part of #MarketFriday!

You know I am always focusing on the small things in life, they usually make no noise but can be indicators of bigger things.

I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
