Me complace invitar a mis amigas @popurri y @evev.

Hello everyone, good morning. This is my participation in this interesting initiative that brings us a theme that I often connect with to develop many of the activities that I like. This is the Theme of the month of June, which is focused on "Inspiration". Many thanks to my friend @brujita18 for the invitation. I am pleased to invite my friends @popurri and @evev.

WHAT IS INSPIRATION?

Inspiration is everything that leads us to suddenly feel the power to create things. We could also say that it is a sudden burst of creativity that drives us to create wonderful things; from a recipe to a work of art.

It can come out of nowhere, without even proposing it, sometimes we wake up inspired and put to work that spark that woke up with us and took us by the hand to a masterful work. The state of rest is one of the main generators of inspiration, of that beautiful inspiration that we reflect on a saucer, a suit, a canvas, a sheet of paper, or on the keyboard of a PC... among many other scenarios. But just as it arises, it also disappears, and that is why we say: "I have to take advantage of this spark of inspiration before it goes away".

There are also inspirational muses, and they do not disappear, they are always there to give us the opportunity to create wonderful works of painting, sculpture or literature.

MY OPINION ABOUT INSPIRATION

I am one of those who think that for creativity to emerge, which is the promoter of great works of art, there must be a source of inspiration; without this spark that drives us, we could be blank for many hours, even days.

The inspirational muse can be anywhere; in nature, in the people around us, the people we love, and even in inanimate objects that are somehow meaningful to us because of where they come from, or the moment treasured in our memories.

Even bad things can inspire us, because they help us to create the counterpart of that bad action, and from our perspective, provide possible solutions to it. Especially when we focus on emotional themes, or stories based on real life.

RESPONDIENDO PREGUNTAS

A continuación mis respuestas:

ANSWERING QUESTIONS

In the post of our friends from Emotions & Feelings, you will find a bank of questions that help us to further develop this topic. Below are my answers:

1.- What inspires you?

Everything, I can see or read something that suddenly gives me the spark of an idea and it grows like a snowball down the mountain, until it forms a great project.

In painting, I am inspired by nature, places I have visited, and above all, landscapes where there is water.

I like to paint in any material, but my favorite is oil, and in almost all my works there is sea, streams, or lakes, because it is the natural landscape that I like the most.

In literature, I am inspired by anything that catches my eye; life situations, tragedies, achievements, sadness, joys, in any scenario, but I usually give my stories a twist so that they have a beautiful ending... I love happy endings.

In the kitchen, I am inspired by flavors, smells, and what I see... I love to eat delicious food, and I look for ways to learn how to make that food and practice it until I get a good result, being my diners who give me the thumbs up; and in crafts, I am inspired by useful things and recycling, when I see everything that can be done with waste material, there I am trying to implement for my home any practical utensil made through reuse.

2.- ¿Qué has logrado cuando te has inspirado?

2.- **What have you achieved when you have been inspired?

Wonderful things; today I possess a large repertoire of 100% original poems and stories, a personal cookbook, many crafts that are no longer all in my hands but I keep a photographic record of them, especially from my time as a teacher, and a few oil paintings.

The painting that appears in the images of this content, is one of my creations in oil, I finished it in 2006 and was inspired by a Merida landscape that I saw during one of my trips to Merida, specifically in the Paramo La Culata. Every time we went down from the hotel towards the city of Merida, we saw little houses with this structure, lots of vegetation and beautiful streams with stones... in the distance, we could admire the partially snow-capped mountain. This landscape always remained engraved in my mind and became a permanent source of inspiration to recreate this painting, and others of more recent dates.

3.- ¿Has perdido la inspiración?

3.- Have you lost your inspiration?

Yes, and ideas too. It happens to me when I'm in a state of depressive anxiety and I completely disconnect from the world... but it doesn't take many days, and it returns as soon as my emotions return to normal.

When my mom died, I was worried, because the absence of ideas, creativity and inspiration went for a walk for many days and no matter how hard I tried to create something, it was like I had a blank mind. But with the help of the holistic therapist, I calmed down and little by little they came back without pressure.

4.- Are you currently looking for it?

I'm always looking for sources of inspiration, because every day I'm creating new things... and the more ideas that come up, the more inspiration I need to make them grow.

Great write-up and there are many gems of wisdom in there about the subject of Inspiration:

The state of rest is one of the main generators of inspiration, of that beautiful inspiration that we reflect on a saucer, a suit, a canvas, a sheet of paper, or on the keyboard of a PC... among many other scenarios. But just as it arises, it also disappears, and that is why we say: "I have to take advantage of this spark of inspiration before it goes away".

This is the curse of the writer's life IMO, as I've experienced it many times before where the well seems to run dry and it seems nothing in the world is exciting anymore. But usually, something happens; a new love comes into your life, or a friend tragically passes away... and however sad this is (and it really is the worst thing to lose a friend) such things can bring the muse back into your life.

This is how I've found it anyway, I'm flowing quite well now creatively, but with much greater consistency than when I was younger and have finished the first draft of a novel I've been working on for more than 4 years... yet that little demon of procrastination sits on my shoulder telling me how much work it will be to line edit 95000 words, sort out plot holes and develop some of the characters that have been neglected somewhat.

I see that you're primarily an artist (although you mention poetry too) and I guess it might be different for a painter than a fiction writer, but one thing remains the same... inspiration can be fleeting 🙄
All the best for your creative endeavours @annafenix 🙂🌿

Hello, happy evening.
Thank you for your valuable appreciation.

Definitely, we have to take advantage of the sources of inspiration when they come, later it may be late and they escape us.

Between those two graces of God; painting and writing, I have to admit that the latter gives me more work... I take my hat off to all writers, especially of novels, and extensive screenplays.

I like writing as much as painting; painting relaxes me, and I thank God for having given me that gift, because when inspiration strikes, the brush and the hand, in open complicity, glide easily looking for the best shades until I reach the one I like the most, and that is comforting.... but literature is a delicate process that integrates many elements, knowing and handling the language well, the correct use of spelling, a theme that engages the audience, good dialogues, the right expressions, it is a tremendous job, I think that of all the arts, it is the most complex.

I read you and I see myself, I also started a novel a few years ago about a rather cumbersome subject, and every time I reach an emotional breaking point in the context, I stop... and so time goes by without taking it up again. I deal better with poetry, although from time to time some pretty good stories flow, hahaha.

Thanks for your good wishes, and I hope to see this work materialize soon.

Thank you for that insight into the painter/artist's perspective. I've only dabbled in digital collage art (self-taught), but I'm quite proud of what I made.

Here are some examples of my best:

The Hive Creativity Singularity, which I made for the LMAC community ages ago.

Atuman Spirit of the Sunset (Poetry and Digital Art)

Alien Jellyfish at the End of the Universe - (Poetry and Digital Art)

That is very kind of you to say, but you're right. Writing a novel is a labour of love, or sometimes a war of attrition, depending on your mind-state at the time 😂 All I know is that after 4 years of doing all the subcreation - fantasy fiction needs strong planning and world building IMO if you're even going to have a chance at publication), and now finishing the first draft, I kinda just want to curl u into a ball and sleep for several months ✍️ 😂

But I can't, deadlines loom and procrastination isn't an option so it's time for

Nice chatting with you @annafenix... and good luck with the novel you mentioned in the comment above. I hope the muse comes a calling at your door 😃🌿

Lol, I wasn't trying to shill the posts tbh. They are all well past the voting/payout window anyway. Some of the posts have stories attached, but I mainly dropped the art just for you to look at 🙂 👍
