Hola amigos de Hive! Como están? El día de hoy estoy muy contenta de poderles presentar por primera vez en esta hermosa comunidad a esta hermosa criaturita que entró inesperadamente en mi vida y de como llegó para quedarse.

Su nombre es orión y mi historia con el comienza una tarde que estaba caminando unas calles cerca de mi casa cuando de pronto observé una manada de 3 gatitos y me acerqué por curiosidad y en ese momento me los quería traer a todos porque estaban en mal estado, se notaban desnutridos y con lo que me pareció sarpullidos en la piel.

His name is Orion and my story with him begins one afternoon I was walking a few streets near my house when suddenly I saw a herd of 3 kittens and I approached out of curiosity and at that moment I wanted to bring them all because they were in bad condition, they looked malnourished and with what I thought were rashes on their skin.

Lamentablemente en mi casa no disponemos del espacio necesario para 3 gatos a parte de que en ese momento mi familia era muy escéptica a tener gaos por las muchas supersticiones que hay sobre estos animalitos. Afortunadamente en ese momento estaba con una amiga y ella se ofreció a darle hogar a uno de ellos y al otro lo iba a mantener en su casa hasta que le encontráramos un hogar, el cual afortunadamente pudimos conseguir gracias a que realizamos una publicación en Facebook donde decíamos que teníamos un pequeño gato en adopción.

Unfortunately in my house we don't have the necessary space for 3 cats and at that time my family was very skeptical to have cats because of the many superstitions that exist about these animals. Fortunately at that time I was with a friend and she offered to give home to one of them and the other one she was going to keep in her house until we found him a home, which fortunately we were able to get thanks to the fact that we made a publication on Facebook where we said that we had a small cat for adoption.

Cuando me traje a Orión por primera vez a mi casa tendría unos 3 meses pero aún así debido a la desnutrición y a su estado de salud deplorable se veía aún más pequeño de lo que en realidad tenía que ser. Por suerte, cerca de mi casa vive un veterinario muy bueno y así fue como supimos que había que desparasitarlo urgentemente y darle suero ya que tenía diarrea.

When I first brought Orion home he would have been about 3 months old but still due to malnutrition and his deplorable state of health he looked even smaller than he really had to be. Luckily, there is a very good vet near my house and that's how we knew that he had to be dewormed urgently and given serum because he had diarrhea.

A pesar de que las primeras semanas le costó mucho adaptarse a la casa, poco a poco se fue integrando y también se veía cada vez más cómodo con su entorno. Su nombre fue escogido por mi mamá y solo se lo puso porque sonaba muy bonito pero algo muy irónico es que aquí en mi casa nos reímos porque el nombre suena como de un gato bravo o dominante y eso es todo lo contrario a lo que es Orión.

Although the first few weeks he had a hard time adapting to the house, little by little he was integrating and also seemed more and more comfortable with his surroundings. His name was chosen by my mom and she only gave it to him because it sounded very nice but something very ironic is that here in my house we laugh because the name sounds like a fierce or dominant cat and that is the opposite of what Orion is.

Es un gato bastante sumiso, asustadizo, no le gusta socialiar con personas nuevas, de hecho cada vez que hay una reunión familiar en la casa y vienen muchas personas él tiende a estar bastante nervioso y se esconde hasta el otro día supongo que para asegurarse que no hay más nadie desconocido. Para ser un gao macho no es para nada callejero cuando le llega el celo, tenemos la sospecha de que estan flojo que ni siquiera le interesa salir de la casa.

He is a very submissive cat, he is very skittish, he doesn't like to socialize with new people, in fact every time there is a family gathering in the house and many people come he tends to be quite nervous and hides until the next day I guess to make sure that there is no one else unknown. For a male gao he is not a stray at all when he is in heat, we suspect that he is so lazy that he is not even interested in leaving the house.

Quise castrarlo pero no cuento con un carro para llevarlo a alguna jornada de esterilización y es tan asustadizo que si lo llevo en autobús capaz y se me escapa y nono me quiero ahorrar un susto, pero cuando cuente con un transporte lo castro. Siento que cuando logre castrarlo va a engordar muchisimo como otros gatos que he visto.

I wanted to neuter him but I don't have a car to take him to a neutering day and he is so scared that if I take him by bus he might run away and I don't want to save myself a scare, but when I have a transport I will neuter him. I feel that when I get him neutered he will put on a lot of weight like other cats I have seen.

Gracias a Orión ahora me visualizo en un futuro como una viejita con 15 gatos. La verdad es que vivir con el marcó un antes y un después en como creía que eran los gatos y ahora soy una amante de ellos y quiero creer que en mi familia sienten lo mismo porque la verdad es que todos aquí en mi casa le agarramos un cariño inmenso, tanto que, el día que se vaya para siempre se va a sentir un vacío enorme.

Thanks to Orion I now visualize myself in the future as an old lady with 15 cats. The truth is that living with him marked a before and after in how I thought cats were and now I am a cat lover and I want to believe that my family feels the same way because the truth is that everyone here in my house loves him immensely, so much that, the day he leaves forever will feel a huge emptiness.

Algo que quiero recalcar es que puede que la leyenda de que el gato tiene siete vidas sea solo eso, una leyenda, pero este animal a pesar de su fama de independiente y arisco puede ser un compañero fiel y cariñoso que se convierta en uno más de la familia.

Something I want to emphasize is that the legend that the cat has seven lives may be just that, a legend, but this animal despite its reputation for being independent and surly can be a faithful and loving companion that becomes one of the family.
