Welcome to Macahambus Cave Lumbia Cagayan De Oro : A Historical Hidden Place During Philippine -American Battle
One of the famous tourist destination aside from water rafting activity is visiting Macahambus Cave a historical nature destination experience nature escape located in Lumbia Cagayan de Oro City.

It was dicovered during the battle war of Kagay anon's and americans during 1900 which became a hidden place of kagay anon soldiers.

My first visit here was when I was in my first year high school when my classmates invited me to visit macahambus cave and became my first cave adventure.I didn't expect at first that at the end of the tunnel cave there is an exit going to the other mountain where you could see nature forest and mountains.

A few days ago while we are having a mall visit at SM Uptown I decided to try visiting back again Macahambus cave as it is 30 minutes away from SM Uptown going to Lumbia where the cave is located.

We took a Lumbia jeepney to get to Macahambus cave as it is very accessible to travel now unlike way back during my high school days.I noticed that it is well developed already by the Cagayan de Oro City government.

It is covered with limestimes with different rock's formation that adds attraction and if you bring flashlights you will see some bat's too.
This is my second time visit and I am surprised that the hallway of the cave is not that rough with stones like before and there is already a stairway going down to the river which before there is no stairway.
How to get to Macahambus Cave :
It is easier now to visit Macahambus cave unlike before as there are too many jeepneys passing by and it is located along Lumbia highway.
-From Carmen Market Cagayan de Oro City you can take a jeepney going to Lumbia
the fare of the jeepney going to Lumbia is only 50 pesos
the travel from Carmen Market to Lumbia took only 1 hour
-Just tell the driver to stop by in front of Macahambus Cave entrance

Another option is you can also take a jeepney from SM uptown mall going to Macahambus cave.

In the next day were planning to visit a waterfalls in Baungon Bukidnon.I never thought that there is a waterfalls in Baungon until my relative told me then I am excited to visit.
