¡Saludos comunidad! El reto de esta semana es sobre una carta que por su naturaleza “Neutral”, es ideal para utilizarla con cualquier Splinter en partidas de alto maná. Además de ello, sus habilidades la hacen un gran tanque que puede resistir, y enfrentar muchas de las cartas nuevas que se han añadido, complementando de una manera eficiente las composiciones con los diferentes Splinters. Legionnaire Alvar, es un monstruo Neutral, es de tipo legendario, y pertenece a la edición de Chaos Legión.

Greetings community! This week's challenge is about a card that due to its "Neutral" nature, is ideal for use with any Splinter in high mana games. In addition to that, its abilities make it a great tank that can resist, and face many of the new cards that have been added, complementing in an efficient way the compositions with the different Splinters. Legionnaire Alvar, a Neutral monster, is a legendary type, and belongs to the Chaos Legion edition.

Legionnaire Alvar es un monstruo que en su nivel 2, cuenta con buenos atributos. Además, posee las habilidades “Void Armor” y “Giant Killer”, las cuales son bastante utilizadas en las estrategia de hoy en día, ya que con la variedad de cartas nuevas, se emplea mucho el daño mágico, y las cartas tienen un alto costo de maná. Por lo que usar esta carta en la mayoría de los casos termina siendo una buena elección. Por ejemplo, incluso podría usarse como sustituto de “Uriel The Purifier” en la estrategía muy usada en conjunto con “Grandmaster Rathe” y “Adelade Brightwing”, y a pesar de no tener la habilidad “Heal”, si se usa algún otro monstruo que le dé soporte con dicha habilidad desde la segunda línea, puede hacerle frente fácilmente tanto a “Uriel The Purifier” u otro tanque comúnmente usado. Ya que mientras su “Void Armor” hace su trabajo, su “Giant Killer” y el resto de la composición harán el resto.

Legionnaire Alvar is a monster with good attributes at level 2. ¡Pasemos a la batalla! Como les mencioné anteriormente, esta es una carta versátil, y por ello, es fácil combinarla con cualquier Splinter en partidas de alto maná. Hoy, les traigo una partida combinándola con el Splinter de Tierra. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar las condiciones de la batalla.

Let's go into battle! As I mentioned before, this is a versatile card, and because of that, it is easy to combine it with any Splinter in high mana games. Today, I bring you a game combining it with the Earth Splinter. In the following image you can see the battle conditions.

Usé a Immortalis como invocador, principalmente por las habilidades “Void” y “Shatter” que otorga. Además del debuff de -1 punto de vida. En la Primera posición usé a Legionnaire Alvar, ya que por sus características, es un excelente tanque contra la magia, y un counter contra cartas de un coste 10 de maná o más. En la Segunda posición usé a Oaken Behemoth para contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea, y proteger al resto de la composición en caso de que el tanque principal caiga. En la Tercera posición usé a Goblin Psychic con la finalidad de dar soporte al tanque mediante la habilidad “Heal”, y contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. En la Cuarta posición usé a Spirit Druid Grog con el propósito de dar soporte a la composición mediante su habilidad “Resurrect”, y contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. En la Quinta posición usé a Queen Mycelia con la finalidad de dar soporte a la composición mediante su habilidad “Protect”, y contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea. Y en la Última posición, usé a Djinn Biljka con la finalidad de contribuir al daño desde la segunda línea de una forma más “Segura” ya que por su habilidad “Camouflage” no puede recibir ataques hasta que esté en la primera posición.

I used Immortalis as a summoner, mainly because of the "Void" and "Shatter" abilities it gives. In addition to the -1 life point debuff. In the first position I used Legionnaire Alvar, since by its characteristics, it is an excellent tank against magic, and a counter against cards of 10 mana cost or more. In the second position I used Oaken Behemoth to contribute to the damage from the second line, and protect the rest of the composition in case the main tank falls. In the third position I used Goblin Psychic to support the tank with the "Heal" ability, and contribute to the damage from the second line. In the fourth position I used Spirit Druid Grog in order to support the composition with his "Resurrect" ability, and contribute to the damage from the second line. In the fifth position I used Queen Mycelia in order to support the composition with her ability "Protect", and contribute to the damage from the second line. And in the last position, I used Djinn Biljka in order to contribute to the damage from the second line in a more "Safe" way, since her "Camouflage" ability prevents her from receiving attacks until she is in the first position.

En el turno 15 de la ronda 1, Mycelic Slipspawn fue abatido por Legionnaire Alvar. Aunque mi composición tiene menos daño mágico que la enemiga, las habilidades “Void Armor” y “Void” lo compensan.

On turn 15 of round 1, Mycelic Slipspawn was shot down by Legionnaire Alvar. Although my composition has less magic damage than the enemy, the "Void Armor" and "Void" abilities compensate for it.

En el turno 9 de la ronda 2, Runemancer Florre fue abatida por Legionnarie Alvar de un golpe, gracias a la habilidad “Giant Killer”. A esta altura de la partida, el enemigo ya sólo contaba con 4 monstruos mientras que mi composición permanecía completa.

On turn 9 of round 2, Runemancer Florre was taken down by Legionnaire Alvar in one hit, thanks to the "Giant Killer" ability. At this stage of the game, the enemy had only 4 monsters while my composition remained complete.

En el turno 9 de la ronda 3, Legionnaire Alvar había muerto y resucitado pero Magic of Chaos fue abatido por Djinn Biljka. El enemigo ya sólo contaba con 3 monstruos. En el turno 15 de la ronda 3, Oaken Behemoth abatió al Goblin Psychic, dejando al enemigo con tan sólo 2 monstruos mientras que mi composición permanecía completa. Y Finalmente, en el turno 11 de la ronda 4, Legionnaire Alvar abatió a Regal Peryton, cerrando la batalla con una victoria. Cabe destacar que mi composición permaneció completa hasta el final, teniendo en cuenta que el enemigo tenía más daño mágico pero esto sucedió ya que mi estrategía consistía en darle soporte a la composición mediante la habilidad “Void”. Por lo que la diferencia de daño mágico es compensada. Además, la reducción de un punto de vida también influyó.

On turn 9 of round 3, Legionnaire Alvar was dead and resurrected but Magic of Chaos was killed by Djinn Biljka. The enemy now had only 3 monsters. On turn 15 of round 3, Oaken Behemoth took down Goblin Psychic, leaving the enemy with only 2 monsters while my composition remained complete. And finally, on turn 11 of round 4, Legionnaire Alvar took down Regal Peryton, closing the battle with a victory. It should be noted that my composition remained complete until the end, taking into account that the enemy had more magic damage but this happened because my strategy consisted in giving support to the composition through the "Void" skill. So the difference in magic damage is compensated. In addition, the reduction of one life point also had an influence.
