Arexia es un trio Rock/Grunge Venezolano, Esta agrupación es original de la ciudad Punto Fijo, Edo Falcón, Venezuela. inicialmente fundada por Antony Jimenez, David Díaz e Israel Barranco a finales del 2002. Las influencias de la banda son: Grunge, Rock alternativo, Nu Metal, Punk, Hard Rock, Metal Alternativo, Post Grunge.

En sus primeros meses de integración, logran participar en un Festival de Bandas Locales celebrado en un PUB MUSIC en el centro de la ciudad. Esa fue la primera experiencia dentro de la escena rock.

Seguido a eso, La banda decide emprender la aventura de crear y grabar sus propias canciones; a pesar de las condiciones de tiempo, espacio y equipos, los cuales no eran las mas óptimos para trabajar.

La falta de instrumentos, dificultad para traslado y de apoyo económico, nos obligó a cambiar nuestro sitio de ensayo a un lugar mas cercano, un galpón abandonado, y con algunos instrumentos rotos o defectuosos. A su vez, nuestro primer bajista David Díaz, tuvo que dejar a la agrupación para dedicarse a sus estudios y trabajo. Esto, le brindó la oportunidad a Giulio flores de integrarse a la banda como bajista y de prepararse para grabar.

Poco tiempo después, Israel, Giulio y Antony graban los primeros temas de lo que hoy es, el Álbum "The Six Babes Portal", Estrenan el sencillo Killing Myself en la radio local y se dedican por poco tiempo a hacer presentaciones en vivo en la localidad. Festival de Bandas PUB MUSIC, Festival Rockstock en El Centro Hispano, El Instituto Tecnológico Antonio José de Sucre, La Discoteca Parranda, Casas de amigos (en Puerta de Maraven, Caja de Agua y Banco Obrero) y La Churuata de Brisas del Sol, fueron testigos del sonido de la banda.

Pero por problemas de salud, trabajo y por estudios, repentinamente se ven obligados a separarse, mudarse a tres estados distintos (Mérida, Zulia y Carabobo) y frenar el proyecto temporalmente. Pasados 11 Meses, Israel y Antony se reúnen en Maracaibo para retomar el proyecto y continuar la grabación. Luego de unos meses de ensayo en casa, regresan a Punto Fijo, se reúnen con Giulio y comienzan a graban la canción "Sweet Voice"

Luego de terminar el álbum, deciden engavetar el álbum, tomarse un receso para descansar, cumplir con responsabilidades de estudio/trabajo y colaborar en nuevos proyectos musicales.

Estábamos agotados de tanto trabajo y no percibir retribución.

Israel Barranco creó a la agrupación SALON, Giulio Flores participó en la agrupación NU SYSTEM, Antony Jimenez trabajó con YANTRA, RECIPE MORADO, PEYOTE, ISLA TABOO y FRECUENCIA SUBLIME.

Después de 20 años de separación, la banda se reagrupa para trabajar en un nuevo álbum musical, crear material audiovisual y lanzar oficialmente su disco "The Six Babes Portal".

Cabe destacar que; al principio, la banda se llamaba ANOREXIA, pero nunca existió simpatía entre los integrantes de la banda, en tener un nombre que representara una enfermedad o algo dañino. Por ese motivo, han decidido cambiar su nombre a AREXIA y continuar la carrera por alcanzar el sueño, que de jóvenes se plantearon. Hacer "buen rock".

En esta oportunidad vengo a presentar el primer video oficial realizado por la banda. La canción que escogimos para este proyecto fue, "Youth Lost" y es el tercer sencillo que la banda lanza de forma oficial. En mi experiencia previa, se que cuando un video me gusta demasiado, a las personas en general, parece no llegarles. Y creo que es porque todo una fibra personal, mas que global.

En esta composición en video, mezclé todas las tomas que hemos hecho este año, estando a distancia. Cabe destacar que cada integrante de la banda se encuentra en un estado distinto, dentro de los limites de Venezuela. El programa de edición de video utilizado fué: Premiere Pro CS6 y el de las fotografias fué Photoshop CS6.

At the same time, our first bass player David Díaz, had to leave the band to dedicate himself to his studies and work. This gave Giulio Flores the opportunity to join the band as bass player and prepare to record.

Shortly after, Israel, Giulio and Antony record the first tracks of what is today, the album "The Six Babes Portal ", release the single Killing Myself on local radio and dedicate themselves for a short time to make live performances in the locality. PUB MUSIC Band Festival, Rockstock Festival at El Centro Hispano, El Instituto Tecnológico Antonio José de Sucre, La Discoteca Parranda, Casas de amigos (in Puerta de Maraven, Caja de Agua and Banco Obrero) and La Churuata de Brisas del Sol, witnessed the sound of the band.

In this opportunity I come to present the first official video made by the band. The song we chose for this project was, "Youth Lost " and it is the third single that the band has officially released. In my previous experience, I know that when I like a video too much, people in general don't seem to like it. And I think it's because it's all personal, rather than global.

In this video composition, I mixed all the shots we have done this year, being at a distance. It should be noted that each member of the band is in a different state, within the limits of Venezuela. The video editing program used was: Premiere Pro CS6 and the photo editing program was Photoshop CS6.
