My Trip North and my Fall Landscapes

Hello, my friends.

I want to show my photos as part of the Season Hunt challenge #SeasonHunt by @barbara-orenya.
The theme of this 6 week - Fall Landscapes.

I want to show the views of the autumn landscape of one day. It was October 2nd. Exactly 2 months ago. It was a big trip to visit my son in the North. On October 1, I left the house by car at about 5 o'clock in the morning. I was almost 1 hour late with my departure.
I had to drive my son's car to his house. At the end of August, my son left his car at my house, and he left in my car because his car broke down. Now I had to do a car swap. But his car didn't want to start. It turned out that the battery had insufficient charge and the car said - I don't see the ignition key. Stupid car. You could have said that you need to change the battery. I started the car through the charger and drove forward. My son's wife's father was with me. On this day we drove 1300 km almost without stopping, only to refuel the car. At 8 o'clock in the evening, we were sitting at our son's table, having dinner and raising glasses of cognac to our meeting. I had to go to bed to wake up at 3 in the morning and drive back.

2 октября. Мы выехали в 4 часа утра. Конечно, еще было очень темно.
I started taking the first photos when it was already light and we made our first stop. We stopped quite often that day. The day before, I was regretting that I didn't make beautiful views of autumn. When you are standing on a mountain, and the road goes down and there are yellow trees all around, a whole sea of yellow trees. This is not often seen. The autumn of this year was really golden!

Friends, if you had to travel long distances, and if you didn't do it on long summer days, you should understand that it can be difficult to force yourself to stop on the highway when your speed is about 150 km/h. And you still have many kilometers ahead of you, and there is little time for that. In summer, the nights are short and you can go without much hassle. Short autumn days are another matter.

Bridge over the river. I decided to stop and take some photos. The forest river has clear water. There was little rain this year, the autumn was dry, so the rivers are all clean and low-water. It would be nice to walk along this river and go fishing. Leave spinning. I want to say that this is my dream. I want to go this way not in one day, but with stops by the river to go fishing and rest the night by the river.

An old wooden church. If my memory serves me correctly, it was built in the 17th century. It is surprising that it was not dismantled in Soviet times. It should also be taken into account that it was built by Catholics, not Orthodox Christians. The church is in rather poor condition. People are trying to restore it and raise money for its repair.

Birches. Small birches. While they are still growing. But when they grow up, people will cut them down and lay them like these logs by the road. Where will they go? For firewood or for paper production? Or maybe they will make plywood out of them.

I was in the passenger seat for a while. Usually I always do this way while sitting at the wheel, but this time I allowed a matchmaker to drive my car. I trust him in this matter as myself. However, he had to do a little introductory course for driving a car with an automatic transmission.

Some sections of the road pass through villages and small towns. In such places, the speed is limited to 40 km/h. This greatly knocks down the pace of the ride. But you can take pictures.

I hope friends that you liked my Fall Landscapes. I tried to make them for you.

The photos are magnificent, the beautiful, magical, and colorful landscape caught my eyes so quickly and that's what I love about the autumn season. To me, it is the best time in a year to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Long-distance travel is hard during winter especially in heavy snowfall or in cold dark weather. We had a short trip this year during the autumn season and I must admit it was so tiring. Summer is the best time for travel as you have mentioned. The best part is finally and safely you have reached your destination.

Last weekend I had to drive 2 times for 500km. It's a round trip. And there was snow, and there was rain. There were a lot of heavy trucks. It was hard to overtake them. It should also be taken into account that I drove both times for about 6 hours, of which 3 hours were in the dark.

Thank you for your comment!
