Old houses in my village

(Edited)

Hello, my friends.

I want to show a little bit of the place where I live.
Previously it was the big village Spasskoye, then it was called the township Pervomaisky, and now it is the outskirts of the city Slobodskoy.
Last weekend I took a short walk along Gorodishchenskaya Street.

It was morning. Approximately 8:00. I like to walk in the morning. After a walk, I can devote the day to housework. When the daylight becomes longer, it will be possible to go for a walk even earlier.
I want to show the houses that are located on this street. This is the old part of the village. Almost all the houses were built at the end of the 19th century or at the beginning of the 20th.
I myself bought such an old house built in 1900 in 2007. The house was in very bad condition because the owners had died. So I took it apart and built a new house.

We can say that it was a typical wooden house of the late 19th century. Most of the houses are now empty in winter. They are used only in summer as a summer cottage. The previous owners have died, and their children do not live in these houses, because there is no comfort in them for modern times. Friends, do you see a brick chimney at the top? In the middle of the house, there is usually a "Russian oven". It takes up a lot of space in the house.
This oven was used for cooking. And in the cold winter they were also used as a sleeping place.

Look, friends, almost the same house as the previous one, the same size.

20220123_1.jpg
And here, friends, is another typical house for our area. But I would say that it is not very large. At the back of the house, outbuildings were made in which pets were kept. In winter, the owners of the house did not need to go outside, they could immediately go to the animals and feed them.

The territory to the side of the house was also protected from precipitation, wind, and cold. Usually, this space is used to store various tools and firewood to keep them dry. And just the owners in can do various work under the roof so that they are not soaked by rain and snow. This is very convenient.

In our village, old houses are usually small in size. This was due to the high cost of land and probably not all people could afford to build a large house.

But there are also special houses: a stone bottom and a wooden top. These are quite large houses in size. Often such houses had a dual purpose. There were retail shops or industrial premises downstairs, and the owners lived upstairs.

20220123_9.jpg
No one lives in this house anymore. It is quietly being destroyed.

20220123_10.jpg

20220123_11.jpg
But this house has already been modernized. The upper part was removed, and a new house was erected on the old lower brick part. The thickness of the brick walls of such a house is about 800 mm, and the foundation is about 2 meters high.

20220123_22.jpg
This house was also rebuilt on this principle 20 years ago - the bottom is old, and the top was replaced with new logs.

20220123_7.jpg
Here is another interesting old house. It is made in one and a half floors. In the lower part, there is a kitchen where food was cooked. A small house. But almost 2 floors. Soon it will completely fall apart.

20220123_12.jpg
How old is this house? The house is not small. A larch tree grows in front of the house. When people were building a house, it was probably then that the tree was planted.

20220123_14.jpg
And these houses already belong to the second half of the 20th century. The two-story one in the background is a typical multi-apartment wooden house of the post-war period. We are talking about the war of 1941-1945.
Such houses were built as temporary housing, but they turned out to be housing for someone for life.

20220123_26.jpg
This is also a typical building for our time - a dilapidated house. The owners have died, children or grandchildren are trying to sell it, but they ask for a lot of money, no one wants to buy. And the place for the house is not very good.

This wreck has been on sale for more than 10 years. Probably, greedy sellers are waiting for their buyers. Well, let them wait.

To some, our village may seem a gloomy and boring place, but I like to live here. I've been living in this place for 30 years. 2 years ago, the eldest daughter and son-in-law persuaded us to move closer to them, to the Moscow region, but my wife and I decided that we would not leave here. We like living here. My house is located near the forest, I have only 1 km to go to the river. What else is needed for happiness? I don't like big cities. I will come there, do all my business and go back to my village.

I add my beloved @archon community as a 5% beneficiary of the post.

These houses looks really charming , like a place where you can stay and write a book with a snowstorm outside, so cute and calm view. I really like these kind of post, make me dream.

As a child, I really liked to sit by the warm stove in winter and read a book.

There's not a lot of snow yet this year. We are waiting for further snowfalls.
