12 Days to my Birthday with Nice Crochet Slippers Giveaway
Every first week of every June, I prefer doing giveaways to my customers with my handwork of slippers crocheting because is the month of my birth which marks the day I was born and brought to earth.

I officially want to use this medium to inform every member of the #NeedleWorkMonday community that the 13th of June is my official birthday. Please, this information is to inform you all in this community because I value and regard you all as my family and friends. Please get prepared as it’s going to be full of fun and happiness.

Let me gist you some things you need to know about the month of my birth and why I chose to do a giveaway with my crocheted slippers. At least one of the main reasons why I prefer giving out crocheted slippers as a gift to my customers is that each time the customer wears the slipper which I crocheted and gave to her as a gift, she will always remember my birthday thereby making my birthday not to easily forgotten before another new year birthday celebration.

One of my favorite customers won my heart today as I gave her one crocheted slipper as a gift for my upcoming birthday on 13th June 2022. This evening, I sent some of my team to go and call the customer which I chose to do a giveaway for when the customer came to my shop and was wondering why I sent for her. I looked into her eye and noticed a slight panic but I alerted her to put her leg into one of the crocheted slippers I made today. She did just that and I told her to go with the crocheted slipper because she deserves it for my upcoming birthday. She shouted and embraced me with a sign of laughter.

Do you imagine why I did that for her? I did that for her because her shop is close to mine and she constantly checks my shop anytime am not around thereby helping to protect the shop. Early this year, she prevented some thieves who wanted to enter and steal from my shoemaking shop as she called the police before my arrival. Through her, I learned to be good to people close to me because they may be of help to me one day as she just did.

Before I close, I want to use this medium to ask @crosheille the leg size of her slippers?
Materials considered for the slippers crochet is as follows:
Yarn was the first material I considered significantly for the crocheting of the slipper because it plays a role in the beauty of the slippers. It looks like a tiny thread but is thicker and more colorful.
Sole is what I used in padding the downside of the crocheted slippers to enable them last longer.

Leather is also another key material in shoemaking through crocheting because it helps the slipper to fit well in the leg and also helps in bringing out the real beauty.
Gum is what is commonly used in biding the crocheted slipper leather and the sole together for a long-lasting aim.

Tools considered for the work are:
Yarn pin for crocheting.
Hammer.
Scissors for cutting leather and yarn.
Matches for yarn mouth trimming.

How it was crocheted and made:
Having all the materials at hand is very important.
Taken requisite measurement.
Making a significant sketch.
Cutting out the leathers.

Crocheting of the slippers with the leather to get the design.
Clean sandpaper of the slipper leather and sole.
Slight gumming with a brush to the surface of the sole and leather.
I placed the sole and leather under the sun for hours.
I have to fix the slipper to get the work done as usual.

I think this is a very generous and thoughtful birthday tradition. It’s nice to give back to those who have supported your work and business.
