Politics in Nigeria is becoming an alarming for the 2023 general election as the two strong opposition party is yet to decide who their presidential candidate will be but it has come to my notice that the former president of Nigeria Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has joined the race through the ruling party of the All progressive Congress as some group of persons from the Northern part of the country Nigeria.

The former president of Nigeria Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who is a native of Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government of Bayelsa State Nigeria was the Vice the president of Nigeria under the late President Umaru Musa Yaradua from 2007-to 2011 before he contested a win the general election with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2011 that made him the president of Nigeria.

In 2015, so many groups and individuals rose against him that he was not capable to chase away insecurity in the country which led to his 2015 election loss to the current president of Nigeria Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Since Goodluck left the office claiming that he need peace within the country which made him accept defeat in the 2015 presidential general election, so many citizens of Nigeria, Africa, and some parts of the country congratulated him heavily for accepting defeat.

Currently now on Monday 9th of May 2022, some Northern coalition group bought the presidential nomination form worth over $200,000 from the All Progressive Congress APC in the International conference center Abuja. The group has been pleading with Goodluck to join the presidential race under the platform of the ruling party APC since April 2022 but currently, with their action for buying the presidential form for the former president of Nigeria Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, it seems to the general public that they really want Goodluck to contest claiming that he is the only person among all that can restructure and fix Nigeria back from its corruption, insecurity, low unemployment, poor infrastructure, high rate of poverty, high cost of food and raw material items in the market, and many others within the country.

In reaction to the former president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan about the form, the personal media adviser Ikechukwu Eze to Goodluck has said boldly this morning being the 10th of May 2022 that the form is an insult to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. He noted this pointing out that Goodlucks portfolio in the country and that of the world should have made the group inform him about the form before getting it.

Based on circulation, President Goodluck Eebele Jonathan seems to have rejected the nomination form till further notice not minding he has met with the chairman of the ruling party APC as of this morning 10th of May 2022.

Most citizens of Nigeria across the country have reacted to the form especially that of the South East of Nigeria asking Goodluck Ebele Jonathan not to accept the form considering what they did for him in the 2015 election as a brother and son of the soil (Igbo).
