Hello Hive lovers, today I decided to make a drawing and painting about the Great Seal of the United State of America but before I proceed with the tutorial and challenges encountered, I will like to fine-tune you a little about the Great Seal of the USA.

The USA Great Seal is one of the respected symbols of authority in the USA and the whole world. It was formally introduced by Charles Thomson who was also the secretary of the Continental Congress and William Barton. After the invention of the Great Seal, it was formally accepted generally and later took effect in usability as of 1782.

Another thing I will like you to understand about the Great Seal is its strength capabilities in making the Federal Government of the United of America document valuable. This simply means that any document carrying the Great Seal symbol means that the document is highly respected anywhere in the USA because of the authority that backs it.

Challenges encountered when painting:

To be honest with you, this is the first drawing and painting I’m making after so many years. I am not an artist but I just developed an interest to be drawing and painting through Hive. I know that the painting will not be like so many great artists here in Hive but I believe with time I will become perfect. I shared this drawing some days in one of the communities but today, I decided to complete the painting.

I nearly gave up when I was painting because I was unable to get the complete tools for painting that would have to give my painting of the Great Seal more outlook.

Meaning of the drawings in the Great Seal:

13 white stars.

Circle of clouds.

American eagle.

Glory from the stars.

The flower represents an olive branch.

I3 arrows.

Shield.

The E Bluribus Unum simply means out of many ones.

Materials used for the painting:

Cardboard paper.

A black tip pen.

The poster colors I used are red, blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, black, yellowish, and blackish brown.

A painting brush.

Water.

Procedures used for the painting of the Great Seal:

Before I was able to proceed with my painting, I make sure that I first used a pencil to draw the complete look of the Great Seal. Then after the draw, I have to make sure that I properly viewed the work to ascertain that everything was done well.

I have to make sure that I mix all the poster colors to be used differently inside a small keg cover by adding small water. Make sure it remains thick.

I have to first start my painting from the top by painting the stars round carefully with blue poster color.

I have to make sure that I finished with the blue color mixed by painting the top shied of the Great Seal.

I have to also paint the circle of clouds carefully with blue poster color paint.

IMG_20220924_130533.jpg

I have to mix my yellow color and then paint the glory side coming from the stars.

IMG_20220924_142738.jpg

I also have to paint the E Bluribus Unum sided with a yellow paint color.

I then mixed my brown poster color which I used to paint the eagle's feather.

I also have to mix the brown and black to get a blackish brown which I used to paint the center feather of the eagle.

IMG_20220927_114816.jpg

I have to paint the eagle laps using brown color.

I have to paint the complete shield with red lines with red poster color.

I now painted the eagle leg using a yellowish color.

I have to paint the olive branch using a green color.

I'm glad to see that you were encouraged to show us your drawing, in addition to the informative contribution you added to it. The truth is that this Stamp is very relevant for Americans.

I also like to paint, it has happened to me that I don't have the necessary materials to do it, but I know that soon I will be able to acquire the main ones.

Overall the poster looks great. Now you are going to display it as your first hive published drawing 🥳👏☘️💙👆.
