Needle Work: Knitted Sandals for Exam Success Gift Demanded by a Customer

(Edited)

A customer came to my knitting shop yesterday and demanded sandals that she wants to use to surprise her younger sister if she’s able to pass the current ongoing JAMB exam according to her University cut-off mark. When I was actually looking at her from the shop, she was really excited about the younger sister in the exam she was writing. My business was to do the job and get the money into my knitting business account.

Not minding that I am supposed to mind my business, I asked her a question regarding her younger sister's JAMB exam. The question was “what if your sister didn’t pass the exam, what will now happen to the sandals you are about to work for her for the future victory you are expecting from her”. She answered and told me boldly to my face that she knows the capability of her sister’s knowledge when it comes to educational exams. She also said that her younger sister has never failed any exams since she started nursery school.

Well, looking at her confidence, I didn’t know what to do again but to wish the so-called sister a happy JAMB exam success.

Based on our continuous and serious conversation, the customer left my shop yesterday without telling me the color and the size of the sandals she wants me to knit for her younger sister. I tried reaching her on phone but there was no network within the location of my working place. When I came back to the house I slept off after I took my bath and ate at the same time. This early morning, I called the customer. She later picked up the call and gave me the details of the sandals.

When the customer came this evening for the sandals, she was surprised to see the sandals were already knitted and she declared to me that with the speed I used to make the sandals it will be the same way her sister will pass the exam without any problem. We all laughed over it and agreed at the same time.

Materials used for the sandals are:

Yarn: This material is known to be used for the knitting of sandals and other related things. The yarn is commonly used to determine the real beauty and color of sandals.

Sole: This is another material used in making the sandals but is commonly applied under the sandals to help carry the knitted sandals last long. The sandals sole is like the pillar used to back the sandals from any quick harm through the ground.

Leather: This material determines the beauty of the down sandals and must be ready to match the yarn to be used for the sandals. Leathers are of different qualities but good ones are the best to be used.

Gum.

Note: Looking at the knitted sandals, it does not make use of buckle so for that reason, the sandals is expected to be tighter by the side during wear.

How the sandals were processed:

The materials have been available.

Measuring the size of the sandals with tape.

Cutting the leather of the sandals with sharp scissors.

Knitting the style of the sandals on top of the leather.

Sandpaper the sole along with the leather.

Rub some gum on the sole and leather.

Place the sole and the leather under the sun to dry well.

Joining the knitted leather and the sole together.

Hi, I'm a fan of your creations. Those sandals with a touch of stones or applications would be even more beautiful than they are
