Needlework: A crocheted Slipper Birthday Gift to a Hive Friend @Zuerich
One of the things I have learned in life from home, school, and close friends is to always love and respect people who value me as a friend or just for a business. Sometimes because of stress and delay from my shoemaking office, I don’t always have time to meet with people around me but following June being the month of my birth, I always try as much as possible to appreciate them through my shoemaking products in leather or crochet form of shoes, slippers, earring, necklace, and many more.
Yesterday, a valuable customer of mine whom I gifted a crocheted slippers 12 days ago came to my shoemaking office to thank me more and also inform me about the ongoing trend of the particular crocheted slippers gifted to her for my upcoming Monday 13th June birthday. The customer told me that her friends and people living around her have been saying good things about the crocheted slipper I gifted to her.
In my responses, I have been thinking about what I will use to appreciate #Hive friend @Zuerich but it was just an opportunity for me to make use of the same style of slipper as people values the pattern. For to make the crocheted slippers unique, I decided to make use of brown yarn color material for the slipper instead of black.
Do you know why I chose to gift @zuerich a birthday gift? It is because she has been a good friend of mine whom I meet the week I joined Hive mid-last year and she’s the oldest friend I have ever had through Hive. One major characteristic I have comprehended about her is that she likes supporting people who are new to #Hive because as for me when I joined Hive. I didn’t have anyone to guide and support me but @zuerich always stood by me even when I lost hope in the platform.
I also know that she’s not the type of person who likes to be praised all over Hive for her generosity but I have no option but to tell her o keep up the good work through #Hive and please accept my gift.
Materials used for the slipper are:
Brown yarn material is used for styling the crocheted slipper and to give it a real beauty.
Leather is used for yarn crocheting of the slippers.
Sole used to support the down slipper to avoid quick damage.
Round buckle.
Gum.
Tools used in making the slipper:
Yarn pin.
Scissors.
Sandpaper.
Brush.
Hammer.
Few procedures used are as follows:
The materials were all purchased from the market and brought to the shoemaking office.
The materials were all assessed.
The measurement of the slippers was carefully ascertained.
I drew the slipper on the leather.
I comfortably cut the leather according to my measurement.
I carefully crocheting of the slipper starting from the round buckle to the completion of the slipper through the leather.
Sandpaper of both leather and sole.
I breezed out dust and sand on the both sole and leather.
The application of gum was properly done with a brush on the sole and leather.
I placed the sole and leather under the sun for hours.
I have to fix the crocheted leather and sole together and that was the completion of the whole work.
Sorry, @crosheille I have put you into suspense but let's see what the deal day Monday 13th will turn into for your gift.
