Replacing motorbike rear brake pads after 40,000 km and changing oil after 2000 km

After almost 4 years of using my personal Vario 150 motorbike, recently I felt that the rear brake on my motorbike was no longer functioning normally and it seemed like I had to replace it immediately for my own safety when driving.

I also want to change the oil on my motorbike because after I last changed the oil my motorbike had been running for 2000 km, when I arrived at the workshop I immediately asked the mechanic to replace the rear brake pads on my motorbike and change the engine oil too.

Because the rear brakes on my motorbike still use drum brakes, the process of installing the new brakes takes a little longer because the mechanic has to open the exhaust and tires of the motorbike first so that the old brake pads can be removed and the new brakes can be installed properly.

Before the new brake linings are installed on my motorbike, I have to first ensure that the new linings that will be installed are in good condition and have no defects so that the brakes will work well after the installation process is complete.

After 20 minutes of waiting, finally the new rear brake pads were installed. Then I continued asking the mechanic to replace my motorbike oil with MPX2 brand oil which is original oil from AHM for 150 cc Honda automatic motorbikes like my motorbike.

I also saw that there were many choices of oil types available in this workshop, from oil for automatic motorbikes to manual motorbikes with various complete ccs available here.

When I drained the old oil from my motorbike, I saw that the oil was still in normal condition, which indicated that the engine compartment of my motorbike was still very healthy because I always looked after it well.

After the oil was changed, I also reset my motorbike's speedometer with a warning that in the next 2000 km I had to change the oil again, because if I didn't reset it, I would forget the next oil change schedule.

Before paying the bill for the services and goods I bought at this workshop, I first tried the brakes on my motorbike by driving around the workshop, after I felt that the rear brake was functioning normally and the engine sound was getting smoother, I immediately returned to repair shop to pay the bill.

Today I spent Rp. 140,000 or the equivalent of 8.67 USD, after everything was finished I went straight home.

This is the maintenance for my motorbike that I did today, thank you friends who stopped by my post, see you in the next post.
