I was in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia recently and I took the opportunity to fly my drone up for some photos. I think Gold Coast is an cool place for some drone photography. These series of photos were pretty much taken from the same spot in the air. The view was amazing from any of the angles that the drone was facing.

I chose this location (based on Google Maps), as it would give a nice view of the river. The first photo shows a nice round curve of the Nerang River. It's unfortunate that there's a height limitation for recreational drone. I think the view would look even better higher.

The second and third photo shows the skyscapers located along Gold Coast, and the fourth photo shows the rich residential areas of the houses located along the Nerang River.

While Gold Coast is more famous its beautiful beaches and theme parks, the city itself also has its own charms.
