WOO - How to prepare for the General Sale

Hi all of you interested in WOO,

Sorry for missing out on new content in the last days I was on vacation and during it COVID hit me, but I'm slowly getting on my feat again. We are in excited times now, so let's check out what will happen:

General Sale - Expectable Alpha pack costs

Why is the Alpha pack sale so interesting

This will be the last time to be able to buy WOO Alpha packs directly in the in game store
For each 100 packs bought a Legendary Manager called Sonny Onoo will be given to the buyer. A few random buyers will also receive the cards.
These cards will 4080 mining power, which is twice as much as the current reward cards - Perry Saturn and Raven.
Sonny Onoo is a real life wrestling manager, and Perry Saturn and Raven are wrestler. All of these wrestlers receive dividends from the sale!
For each pack bought a reward pack is awarded as well, so you will get 2 packs for the price of one. This was the case also on previous sales. The price of reward packs skyrocketed with the tokenomics implemented by the team as they contain unique and very strong wrestlers (currently WOO Saturn packs are for $4.4 on HE, and WOO Raven packs for $4).

The sale will happen on the 31st of October at 9AM ET.

How much will a pack cost?

One pack will cost $2 USD worth of $WOO. And this is the tricky part. No one knows how much $WOO is needed to buy the packs. It is still in the future and will depend on how the price of $WOO will evolve during the next month.

Was it important to note, that the selling price won't be the current $WOO/$ value. The team is going to make multiple snapshots of the $WOO price running during the whole month, to mitigate the unpleasant effects of spikes.

On how the conversion rate of WOO to USD will be adjusted for general sale

Now let's see what price we could expect:

The highlighted row is the low end of the WOO price in the last weeks. Basically it is moving somewhere between $0.0024 and $0.003.
This would mean, that to earn a Sonny Onoo card one should have around 84.000 $WOO in his account when general sale to be on the safe side, if no big chances appear...

Some fluctuation might happen, as seen on the picture above, a lot of WOO Whales started un-staking (https://he.dtools.dev/richlist/WOO), so I do expect that also some profit will be taken, which could drive the WOO price lower. On other hand I take it as a good sign, that not all WOO is being un-staked, as that means that the Whales believe in the long time success of the project. I don't have data nor the knowledge to back this up, but I would hope to see a hard stop at the $0.002 mark. In this case 100.000 $WOO should be needed for 100 packs. This is what I'm preparing for to buy 100 packs.

But to be honest, I'm not long enough in this sphere to know what is coming. It might be the opposite and the value of WOO might even climb, making it that much easier for WOO holders to buy packs! :)
What is important to understand is, that we need to start accumulating now!

Why is it not enough to have 200HBD set aside for the event to get 100 packs?

We are buying the packs for $WOO and as a few days before the sale an exchange rate of 1 pack for x $WOO will be set.
At this point there is a high chance, that if the price of $WOO is below the optimal value it will immediately jump above it as some investors will try to make a few extra winnings by buying up the available liquidity and selling it afterwards for people who want to buy the packs for the new price.
The other scenario is that the $WOO was already above the optimal value. In this case there will be no big correction.

At this point Alpha packs will cost more then $2. This needs to be explained clearly before the sale, as it could cause a negative backlash after the sale (even though the mechanism was invented with the best intent by the developers)!

When should I start un-staking?

The General Sale starts on the 31st of October at 9AM ET. So the theoretical best time to start un-staking is 28 days before that - On the 3rd of October at 8:59AM ET... well if you believe to be lucky enough to encounter no delays at all.
To be on the safe side, I would advise to start un-staking latest on the 2nd of October, so you are ready for the show. :)
But this means also that the APR% in the staking pool will increase for this period. It might be good to consider how to divide the resources here :)
