De Apure a la blockchain: Así ayudé a mi hermana karla a crear su cuenta en Hive paso a paso, a distancia y superando trampas de IP (SPA/ENG)

Hola a toda la comunidad de Ecency y Hive. Hoy quiero compartirles una experiencia muy práctica y llena de aprendizajes. Resulta que mi hermana Karla, que está allá en el estado Apure, tenía muchas ganas de formar parte de este mundo descentralizado, tener su propio espacio y aprender cómo funciona la tecnología en la blockchain.

Como yo estoy aquí en Carabobo y ella en Apure, decidimos hacerlo a distancia y 100 por ciento guiadas por WhatsApp, usando puras capturas de pantalla y paciencia. Pero antes de lograrlo, nos topamos con un detalle técnico importante que les quiero contar.

Paso 1: A descargar las apps en los dos teléfonos
Lo primerito fue equiparnos con las herramientas. Yo descargué la aplicación de Ecency en mi celular, y Karla hizo lo propio descargando tanto Ecency como la aplicación de Hive Keychain desde la Google Play Store en su teléfono allá en Apure. Sin este paso previo no hay magia.

El gran obstáculo: Cuidado con la IP y la red

Antes de que Karla hiciera su proceso, yo creé una cuenta primero para tantear el terreno. Y menos mal que lo hice.

Me di cuenta de que la plataforma es súper sensible con las direcciones IP.
A veces, sin tener ninguna VPN activa, el sistema se confunde y te frena el registro pensando que usas una red privada.

Por eso, mi recomendación de oro basada en nuestra experiencia es mejor hacerlo usando datos móviles, o bien apagar el Wi-Fi del router y volverlo a encender para que cambie la IP antes de registrarse. Sabiendo esto, le pasé el dato a Karla para que evitara ese dolor de cabeza.

Paso 2: Configurar los datos en la app
Ya con el tema de la red superado, nos fuimos a la sección de registro en la app de Ecency. Allá colocamos los datos principales: el nombre de usuario que ella escogió y un correo electrónico (yo usé uno alternativo que no uso mucho para asegurarme de que todo fluyera bien).

Paso 3: La verificación de seguridad (humanos al poder)

Al avanzar en ese formulario, la plataforma nos llevó a la ventana para Obtener cuenta de Hive. Aquí el sistema realiza la comprobación de seguridad con Cloudflare para verificar que somos personas reales y evitar bots.

Siguiendo el consejo de cambiar de IP para que el sistema no se pusiera mañoso, dejamos que hiciera su proceso y le dimos al botón de Registrarse Gratis.

Paso 4: De un freno frustrante a una solución
A pesar de los cuidados, a Karla también se le presentó ese mismo freno en el sistema.

Y es que hay que decirlo: cuando alguien nuevo se tropieza con trabas constantes al principio, es muy fácil frustrarse y terminar pensando que la tecnología no es para uno. Yo no quería que ella se fuera a decepcionar.

Como yo ya había pasado por eso, había creado una cuenta de prueba que tenía por allí lista y segura. Así que, para evitarle más dolores de cabeza y asegurarme de que pudiera arrancar con buen pie, decidí pasarle esa cuenta directamente.

Con los datos de acceso que le pasé, Karla abrió la aplicación de Hive Keychain que ya tenía descargada en su celular, introdujo su llave y listo. El sistema descargó todo lo demás de forma segura.

Cuenta activada y totalmente funcional a cientos de kilómetros de distancia. Lo más bonito de todo este proceso es ver cómo el apoyo familiar y la paciencia superan cualquier traba técnica, logrando conectar a Carabobo con Apure en este viaje por la Web3.

From Apure to the Blockchain: How I Helped My Sister Karla Create Her Hive Account Remotely and Overcome IP Hurdles

Hello to the entire Ecency and Hive community. Today I want to share a wonderful, practical experience full of lessons. It turns out that my sister Karla, who lives over in the Apure State, was very eager to be part of this decentralized world, have her own space, and learn how technology works on the Hive blockchain.

Since I am here in Carabobo and she is in Apure, we decided to do it remotely and 100 percent guided via WhatsApp, using just screenshots and patience. But before achieving it, we ran into an important technical detail that I want to share with you.

Step 1: Downloading the apps on both phones
The very first thing was getting equipped with the right tools. I downloaded the Ecency app on my phone, and Karla did her part by downloading both Ecency and the Hive Keychain app from the Google Play Store on her phone over in Apure. Without this prior step, there's no magic.
The Big Obstacle: Watch out for your IP and network.

Before Karla went through the process, I created an account first to test the waters.

And am I glad I did. I realized that the platform is super sensitive with IP addresses. Sometimes, even without any active VPN, the system gets confused and blocks your registration thinking you are using a private network.

Therefore, my golden recommendation based on our experience is that it's best to use mobile data, or turn your router's Wi-Fi off and back on so the IP changes before registering. Knowing this, I passed the tip along to Carla so she could avoid that headache.

Step 2: Setting up the info in the app
With the network issue sorted out, we went to the registration section in the Ecency app. There, we filled in the main details: the username she chose and an email address (I used an alternate one I don't use much to make sure everything flowed smoothly).

Step 3: Security Verification (Humans to the rescue)

As we advanced through that form, the platform took us to the Get Hive Account window. Here, the system runs a security check via Cloudflare to verify that we are real humans and prevent bots.

Following the advice to tweak the IP so the system wouldn't act up, we let it do its thing and clicked the button to Register for Free.

Step 4: From a frustrating roadblock to a loving solution
Despite our precautions, Karla ran into that same system roadblock.

And let's be honest: when newcomers hit constant technical walls right at the beginning, it's very easy to get frustrated and think technology isn't for them. I didn't want her to feel disappointed.

Since I had already been through it and had a ready, secure test account on hand, I decided to hand that account over to her directly so she could skip the headache and start on a high note.

With the credentials I gave her, Karla opened the Hive Keychain app she already had downloaded on her phone, entered her key, and the system securely loaded everything else.

Account successfully activated and fully functional hundreds of kilometers apart. The most beautiful thing about this entire process is seeing how family support and patience can overcome any technical hurdle, bridging Carabobo and Apure in this wonderful Web3 journey.
