Cosmic creation- theme: mythology ✏️
Hello dear Friends💚 It’s Mila! How are you all doing? I hope you have started a pretty nice day. Welcome to my new blog💚 I’m back again with my illustration for cosmic creation. The theme is about mythology. It was one of the most interesting theme so far. My illustration is featured Medusa. It’s one of the most known gods there because of the way she looks but for those who don’t know about her, she has a lot of snake coming out of her head and if you look into her eyes you’ll turn into a stone. I made a sketch of her with a HB pencil so if everything’s gonna go wrong it could be erasable. Graphite pencils are a bit hard to erase that’s the reason. I made a statue of her because when we think of her the two words that come to our mind are snakes and stone. I drew some crack on the stone too. The process took around 5 hours to get done.

I like the smooth shading on the snakes. It captures the light shining on them very nicely and gives the image a great organic feel.

Your Medusa is lovely, if it can be said of her. I like the various shades of black and the fact that it's all one tone instead of colorized. Nicely done.
