Latin is a great language
I've been asked to do half a dozen Latin lessons on Duolingo, and honestly, it's one of the most beautiful languages I've ever seen in my life. Its grammar is elegant, the pronunciation is gorgeous, and even the simplest sentence sounds high-class. I loved it.
It's a pity that it has no practical application these days, because I wish I could talk like that every day. You can try on Duolingo or in The Open University, and there are so many books on the internet about it. Hope you'll like it 😄😊

I've dabbled in Latin, and somewhere I have the Cambridge Latin Course books. It's useful to have some idea of Latin if only to understand the etymology of a lot of words in modern English.
