Introduction

When it comes to dreamy beach getaways, Key Largo stands out as a tropical paradise waiting to be explored. Nestled in the upper Florida Keys, Key Largo offers a unique blend of adventure and natural beauty. One of the best ways to experience the magic of this island destination is to plan a vacation by the water.

Stay by the Water

Imagine waking up to the sound of waves and seeing clear water right outside your window. Key Largo has lots of places to stay, from really fancy hotels to cute little houses near the beach. You can pick one where you practically walk out of your room and onto the sand! Ours wasn’t facing the water, but it was nearby, it would take two minutes to get to the beach.

Water Adventures

If you love playing in the water, Key Largo is like a giant playground. You can snorkel and scuba dive to see amazing sea life. Or if you want something calm, try kayaking or paddle boarding. It's like gliding on the water – super fun! We tried paddle boarding for the first time and our kids absolutely loved it. It was actually raining for the most part of the day but nobody cared. Un the morning it was a bit hard to wake up since the sound of rain was making us feeling lazy, but later we decided to try it under drizzling rain. I guess all the guests also decided to do that at the same time:-)

I almost forgot to mention that there are free bikes that guest can use whenever they want. That’s actually on our to do list. Knowing my husband I already can imagine how we’ll be sore after our bike ride🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Yummy Food with a View

Now, let's talk about food. Key Largo has the best food with a view. Imagine eating delicious seafood while watching the sun go down. It's like having a tasty dinner with a show! We had our meals outside of the restaurant, to enjoy the view and the breeze. I had a traditional American cheese burger, and my family decided to have Mexican food.

Beautiful Sunsets

The sunsets in Key Largo are crazy beautiful. You can find a nice spot on the beach, put your feet in the sand, and watch the sky turn all sorts of colors. It's a peaceful moment you won't forget. I was very lucky to get good shots on the first day of our visit, when it still was bright and sunny. The view was magical, and we were happy to swim in that sunset water.

Explore the Everglades

Key Largo isn't just about the beach – it's also close to a cool place called the Everglades. You can go on an adventure there, see lots of animals, and explore the wild side of Florida. We actually are going to visit Wild Birds Sanctuary, where the birds from that area get treated if they have injuries.

Conclusion

So, if you want a super fun and easygoing vacation, Key Largo is the place. From waking up to the ocean sounds to trying out cool water activities and enjoying yummy food with a view, it's like a dream come true. Pack your stuff and get ready for a fantastic time by the water in Key Largo! This trip reminded me of The Caribbean, it has the same feeling of being in the paradise. The only difference was that we didn’t see any wild crabs at this beach, maybe they come out only at night time.
