My Beach Walk and Saturday Jellyfish Show.

Hello friends,

We had such a busy week, so that we couldn’t get up this morning on our regular time. Thankfully we stocked up on groceries yesterday, thanks to the holiday. We literally spent half a day in bed, kids were being good doing homework.

The reason we went to the beach.

Our daughter has been suffering with stuffy nose lately and I’m so afraid to wash her nose myself. I finally got up to take her to the beach. Usually ocean water helps to wash nose pretty well, and we’re blessed to be able to go there whenever we need.

Unexpected Jellyfish Show.

So we went for a walk on the beach, and guess what? There were loads of jellyfish everywhere! They came in all kinds of shapes and sizes, like see-through bells and chubby mushroom-looking ones. Some were pink, and others were clear. It felt like I stumbled upon a jellyfish fashion show right there on the sand. Even though jellyfish seem delicate, they're tougher than they look. They swam gracefully with the waves, showing off their long, wavy tentacles. It was like they were doing a dance, reminding me of the cool and sometimes tricky things in the ocean.

Overcoming the fear.

Kids didn’t want to go to the water, because of the jellyfish season. So I carefully helped my daughter to just go in water for a few minutes. We went under water for couples of time and quickly came out. We didn’t want to risk being stung by the jellyfish. My kid can breath now, thanks to the ocean water. I don’t want to go through an ear infection disaster like it happened a few years ago, when we didn’t know that stuffy nose can lead to that. So we’ve been advised to rinse nose with salty water.

Jellyfish photo shoot.

I went to grab my phone to take a few pictures here and there, while kids were eating their snacks and playing in the sand. As I kept walking, I realized how amazing nature is. Jellyfish might seem a bit spooky, but they added a touch of magic to my beach day. It made me think about how there's so much more going on under the water than we can see from the shore.

Meeting an alien.

During my beach stroll, I encountered a jellyfish that looked like an alien from outer space. It’s so unusual to have jellyfish stare at me like that. It felt like I had stumbled upon an extraterrestrial visitor washed ashore, adding an element of whimsy to the sandy scene.

Jellyfish in disguise.

In another amusing encounter, I spotted a jellyfish that seemed to be playing pretend. Some creative kids had placed a Coca Cola bottle lid on top of one, turning it into a smashed bottle. It was a comical sight, as if the jellyfish was trying out a new disguise.

Conclusion.

So, my beach walk turned into an adventure, all thanks to these wobbly, jelly-like creatures. Nature sure knows how to surprise us, turning a simple walk into a discovery of the cool world beyond the waves.
