When it comes to portrait making the fun part is after the finishing. When we compare the work that we created with the reference in most scenarios we won't feel any major difference between them if we did it with good care. But after taking a gap when we look at it again we will saw two, very different pictures. This may make us crazy.

This is same in any art forms. So for the comparison we should take a gap between the times of creation and comparison. This will give us a moment to think like a second person other than the artist which is us, and this will help us to understand the drawbacks of our work.
