Crunchyroll may be Diversifying into India

Crunchyroll is an American Subscription Service where you can watch Anime that is licensed by them for a measly monthly fee. This has been online for several years but the reason I am talking about Crunchyroll now is that it seems Crunchyroll is looking to expand here in India and that is definitely a good thing for us. Crunchyroll boasts a library of over 1000 Anime but sadly not all of them were available to watch here in India and because of that, there wasn't really a Subscriber base for Crunchyroll here in India.

But things changed recently after the hugely successful launch of Jujutsu Kaisen Zero which was a Hit in the Theatres as people went out of their way to watch the Anime on the Big Screen. The hype was so big that even I couldn't get proper tickets to the Movie and had to look out for other ways to get into the Theaters. This might have led to a scenario where Crunchyroll is now thinking about expanding here in India.

As you can see the Monthly Subscription for Crunchyroll is just about 79 INR which is around 1 USD and for that price, I am more than willing to pay for their Subscription provided they bring their entire Anime Library to India. The reason I am excited about paying this 1 USD per month fee is that earlier it used to be way higher and their lowering their fee also suggests they are ready to enter the Indian Market.

It also is something to be noticed that Crunchyroll is already starting to launch new Anime Series like Ousamma Ranking and My Dress-Up Darling to their Library in India. I really hope Crunchyroll makes good on us here in India and I am pretty sure that provided they keep an aggressive pricing people will be willing to pay 79 INR per month for some good Anime Content.
