Crypto Talks in the Parliament of India
Yesterday we finally saw some real talks going forward in the Parliament of India related to Cryptocurrencies. In this meeting, various Government Officials met with various Cryptocurrency Firms and Agencies to Discuss the Future of Crypto in India. It is also been said that Primi Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the meeting but this is still speculation at this time.
Crypto has been booming quite a lot in India after the lift of the Banking Ban in India and that is evident as the Government is getting huge amounts of Taxes from the Exchanges as well as Individuals. So it is high time that India comes up with something to regulate this Space as we all know Banning is not an option at all.
As you can see above the Committee Meeting was indeed in the Itinerary and as the Meeting was on track we also saw the #indiawantscrypto trend on Twitter and even though I did not participate in this Twitter Trend I wish I was part of it. After the meeting was over it was also said that the Government was looking into regulations rather than Banning so I am keeping my hopes high for sure.
Now some people here might not know another aspect to this story which is the whole SCAM that took place in Karnataka which involved some Bitcoins but just to give you a slight peek the SCAM involves a lot of politicians, hackers, law enforcement, and many more so yeah the Government was definitely in a hurry to Regulate Crypto as things are taking quite unusual turns and regulation may be the only thing they can do to make Crypto Safer for Everyone.
