India has already witnessed a Crypto Ban a couple of years ago and we fought that in Court after a tough drawn-out battle we came out victorious but Crypto is not a Legal Tender in India and truth be told it doesn't have any status yet. Some say it's an Asset while others say it is a Security and the debate still goes on but the fact remains that we can still freely trade Crypto in India at least for now. My Mom asks me this question almost every other day if my Investments are Secure in Crypto as what would happen if the Government outright Bans Crypto in India and I always give her the same answer

Even China couldn't stop Crypto with their Great Firewall

So how is India supposed to stop Crypto just by Banning it? Don't get me wrong I am not saying that India is nothing Compared to China and if China cant does then India certainly cannot either but what I mean to say is that China is more like a Dictatorship while India follows Democracy so yeah the main difference lies here.

But there is something called the CBDC that India is apparently developing and there is a slight probability that India might go for the Ban after they complete their own CBDC but that is something way back in the future and even then I believe that Crypto would become such an integral part of the Indian System that it cannot be cut off. For example, India has proposed a 30% Taxation on Crypto which is definitely on the higher side but still when the Government looks at the amount of Money Crypto Taxes bring then things would most likely change for the better.

The thing that kind of scares me is that the Indian government is still not clear about what Crypto is and how it can help them or harm them and that is bad. You know the UNKNOWN is something that always fears an Individual so a possible Ban is also an option for India as the Reserve Bank of India has been clearly spreading Hostile news about Crypto all over India and even though I feel like there wouldn't be any BAN I can't say this for absolute surety.
