what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using one of my scholar account from Balthazar guild and this time i am playing in Gold Modern Format League. And in this content i will sharing that in Five Alive ruleset, and in this battle i want to share that missplacing will make your team lose especially when the ruleset is like having restriction to total unit that we can bring. Whenever facing tight battle it will need to really focusing and still need to depending to RNG God. The combination with the placing, RNG, and strategy can make you guarantee the victory. Maybe i am not too focused when i am arranging and playing this game since i am playing so many games at once. So lets learn towards this battle shall we.

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Broken Arrows lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

Up to five Units can be used.

So, basically this ruleset is making both player need to arranging team with just only 5 units. Both players can bring less than 5 units but cannot bring more than 5 units, summoner excluded. Usually many players will bringing the strongest monster into battlefield and forgoting to utilize the ability. But sometimes it really need to make the combination ability with just 5 units monster. And sometimes arranging with this ruleset is really easy. Butm,sometimes arranging in this ruleset can be super hard too.

Strategy Phase

As you can see in the picture above this battle have 3 ruleset. The first ruleset is Aimless that means all monster units will have scattershot ability. The second ruleset Five Alive that means both players can only bring 5 units into battlefield. The last but not least is Lost Magic that means both players cannot bring any magic type attack monster into battlefield. The manacap that can be used in this battle is just 25 mana. That means this battle will be low manacost monster battle with one or 2 strong monster units. The element that can be used in this battle is just Earth and Death element. This combination of this ruleset is really hard to arranged. Without magic monster type attack so it will the battle of range and melee monster. But, ranged monster in Aimless ruleset it will be hard to adjusting the attack and predict how to win. And if using melee monster type. With just 2 element that can be used, there will be hard to choose what we need to bring since these 2 types element did not having pretty good melee type attack monster units. So, this time i am choosing using Astral Entity as summoner with death element since Astral will give dodge ability that can helping giving chance to opponent missing attacking my line up. So, this is my strategy line up you can see in the table below

Summoner-2 Armor Dodge and Resurrect abilityI am considering using Death element because in Death element there is Astral Entity Summoner that gives dodge ability to all my monster unit that can make my line up will have chance to dodging any melee and range attack monster from opponent line up. Also this monster having resurrect ability that can gives second life to monster that died first. And 2 Armor debuff will really usefull since there will be no magic type attack monster in this battle so armor is one of the key of the battle.
Frontline Tanker This time i am using Pelacor Deceiver because i think this monster will be perfect to be a tanker with flying ability that having chance to dodging any attack combined with dodge ability from Astral Entity make this monster will be hard to get hit. Also this monster having Backfire ability that can gives opponent back damage when missing attacking this monster.
Debuff Support I am bringing this weirding warrior because this little manacost monster is having pretty usefull ability that can support my Summoner ability. With shatter ability that can make any opponent monster line up with armor will broke all the armor once hit. Also, amplify ability that can make Pelacor Deceiver backfire ability will be get bonus backdamage. And rust ability that make opponent line up will get 2 armor reduction again beside my Astral Entity ability. So, it will make opponent line up will be losing 4 armor total.
Buff Support I am bringing this monster because this monster will make my line up got buff for the armor. I am hoping with the additional armor will covering the debuff from opponent summoner Astral Entity if opponent use Astral Entity. And if not this monster will be gives additional armor to my line up that can make my line up will be stronger in defence. And the inspire ability will make my melee monster type attack will get buff. And with fury, if opponent bringing any taunt monster this monster damage will doubled. But, i doubt that opponent will bringing any taunt monster since the manacap that can be used in this battle is pretty low.
AttackerI am bringing Soul Strangler in my line up because this monster is having pretty high damage for range monster with low manacost monster. And this monster having poison ability that having chance to make opponent poisonus when get hit by this monster. But this monster is really realy weak for defence. This monster having very low health. And i doubt this monster can hold longer especially meet up with Aimless ruleset.
Backline Defender For my backline defender i am placing Ever-Hungry Skull for my defence with thorns ability that can gives backdamage when got hit by melee monster units and having flying ability that having chance to dodge opponent melee and range type attack. Hopefully opponent did not bringing any monster that can shattered this monster armor or get poison effect. It will ruin my backline defence.

So, this is my strategy line up. I think my line up is just commonal strategy. Not really special meta. Maybe many people will arranging like me in normal battle. But who knows this line up will make my team will be the winner or not. So, lets see in the battlephase.

Okay this time i am encountered with player in the same guild as mine. And scholar player too. I am hoping that my line up is better than my friend this time. But, looking the rating different. I think it will be hard for me to defeat my team mates.

Round 1 Part 1

As usual in round 1 both parties got buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. In this battle my team got 2 armor debuff from opponent Summoner Astral Entity ability. 2 Armor debuff again from opponent Weirding Warrior ability Rust. Then my Ravenhood Warden Protect ability did not gives any effect but the inspire ability make my Melee attack type monster got buffed. And in opponent team got almost the same with my line up that is 2 Armor debuff from my Summoner Astral Entity ability then 2 armor debuff again from my Weirding Warrior ability Rust. After buff and debuff stuff then the battle begin. The first attacker is opponent Silent Sha-Vi attacking my Ever Hungry Skull and hit. then opponent Silent Sha-Vi got thorns damage. Then opponent Uraeus hit my Ever Hungry Skull too and got thorns damage. And gives poison effect too. Wonder how can opponent did not miss at all. Flying and dodge ability that my Ever Hungry Skull have. Really RNG is very fucking sucks for me. Then opponent Ever Hungry Skull missing attacking my Pelacor Deceiver and got backfire ability damage.

Round 1 Part 2

After opponent Ever Hungry Skull got backfire damage then the battle still continue. My Pelacor Deceiver hit opponent Ever Hungry Skull and got thorns damage. Then my Weirding Warrior attacking opponent Silent Sha-Vi and then opponent Weirdring Warrior attacking my Ravenhood Warden. Then my Ravenhood Warden attacking opponent Soul Strangler. And then my Soul Strangler defeated opponent Weirding Warrior and got resurrected by opponent Astral Entity. Then opponent Soul Strangler defeated my Weirding Warrior too and got resurrected by my Astral Entity. In this round the bad RNG is opponent melee attack did not missing attacking my Ever-Hungry Skull. Even though having flying and dodge ability. But yeah it very common that RNG is not sided with me. Almost everytime this game RNG is very bad to me. And yet i still playing this game. Wonder why.

Round 2

In round 2 because my Ever-Hungry Skull got poison that make my Ever-Hungry Skull died due the poison effect. And here my defense broken. Opponent Silent Shavi can defeated my Soul Strangler and then opponent Uraeus defeated my Ravenhood Warden. Then opponent Ever Hungry Skull hit my Pelacor Deceiver and then my Pelacor Deceiver hit opponent Ever Hungry Skull and get thorns damage. Then opponent Weirding Warrior defeat my Pelacor Deceiver. and this time opponent Soul Strangler missing attacking my Weirding Warrior. yeah in this battle the RNG is really really sucks. That no use using Dodge and Flying ability. Thats make no sense at all.

Round 3

After looking in round 2 in this round is just waiting one of the opponent line up touching my Weirding Warrior and then it is absolutely my loss.

Conclution

I cannot say anything about the RNG. But, what i know is yeah this games is full of RNG. And i think RNG is trully matters. But, regardless from RNG. I think the placement is really matters too. I dont know that placing Ever Hungry Skull in front can bring victory. After i analyze it, i think yeah. Because there are so many monster that having poison effect especially Uraeus and Soul Strangler in Death element. Also if using Earth element there is Venari Seedsmith that having poison effect too. And due the Aimless ruleset it will make all range monster will come back to RNG again. And yeah in this battle my Soul Strangler did not hit the opponent carry monster. And opponent Uraeus always gievs poison status. That why i said that RNG is trully matters. I dont know how to make RNG God with me. Maybe i can say that impossible request except i using script or cheat to make the RNG comes to me. Thats why sometimes i can think that opponent using helper or cheat to placing or can scripting any RNG in this battle. But, overall yeah i learned that when Aimless ruleset come out maybe i need to placing 1 health monster with good ability to be a frontliner.
