Taunt Positioning in Explosive Weaponry ruleset battle is important

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I am sharing my battle this time in new format of battle challenge that discussion about Explosive Weaponry ruleset that can bring some bomby explotion. This ruleset give all monster in battlefield having Blast ability. Usually using Reflection Shield ability is very good to prevent blast damage from opponent attack. But,after Martyr Ability came out,some battle often utilize Martyr abilities in Explosive Weaponry ruleset battle. In this battle i am trying using Martyr abilites but it did not work at all and without Reflection Shield ability monster in this battle. Lets break down my strategy and arrangement below

Explosive Weaponry is ruleset that very annoying sometimes it will easy to win and some battle is very hard to win with this ruleset. And in the end RNG is still needed to win the battle in this ruleset. It's useless if the attack not hitting the opponent monster or missing the attack. Even if you are having more Speed but sometimes shit happens if the opponent have dodge or flying ability. Don't forget about the positioning monster with ability. that is very important too. For example Don't place taunt monster in between monster with high damage and low Health except you want using it to activated martyr abilities. With blast ability from Explosive Weaponry ruleset, it will give additional damage to adjacent monster if taunt monster not placing in the corner.

Strategy Phase

In this battle i got 3 ruleset. The first one is Explosive Weaponry of course that means all monster have blast ability, the second one is Fog of War that means Monster lose the sneak,snipe, and opportunity ability. and the third one is Taking Sides that means Neutral monster cannot be used in this battle. The manacap is 47 which is pretty good manacap amount. The element that inactive is Fire and Water element.With resource i have the best element that i can use is just remain Earth element and death element. The rest i am pretty sure i will lose because i don't have the summoner and it will be using starter card and i am not recommended using starter card in gold modern league. So without neutral monster and not suggesting using Sneak and Opportunity monster. I am prefer using magic monster and some of Range monster. But not much because Dragon element still active and Quix have -1 range and speed ability so bringing much range is very disadvantage. But,if using full mage it can be a fatal too. There is death elemental Thaddius Brood have -1 magic damage so if i am bring Obsidian my monster attack status will be back to normal basic attack. and the damage no longer high. So what strategy i am use in this battle lets look in the table below

With adding magic damage at least the damage is still great and if the opponent pick Thaddius Brood, at least the magic attack is still good and just back to basic
Tanker I am using this monster because this monster very good as a tanker with double attack and have trample ability so if this monster can kill opponent monster it will give additional damage to the monster next to it.
Buff SupportI am using this monster because i want to utilize the martyr effect if the opponent tank have big damage and this monster get killed by blast effect. So after this monster die that will activate martyr effect and give grund and Mycelia buff
Buff & Support I am using this monster as a support with protect ability that can adding 2 armor in battle and with triage ability this monster can heal the second until last position and helping allies live longer especially with blast effect.
Support I am using this monster to support Grund as a tanker with healing ability and affliction ability to prevent opponent get healed either therir taunt tanker or Frontliner tanker so opponent lose chance to heal and holding longer.
Support Attacker I am using this monster to helping Queen Mycelia as a support with triage ability so i can heal 2 monster in one round and have chance to prevent opponent attack by stun ability so the opponent cannot attack 1 turn. Besides of that this mosnter have high range damage so if the opponent using Death element Thaddius Brood this monster can be a highlight,and if the opponent using Quix as summoner this monster can act as a support
Taunt Tanker I am using this monster so the opponent can focusing attacking this monster with taunt ability and thats why i am bringing 2 monster that having triage so it can heal 2 monster at same time and helping both my taunt tanker and Uloth dhampir blast effect damage got healed.

So with this arrangement, are my strategy is good enough? Or it is not too good??

This battle was very insteresting i encountered with Level 6 Obsidian that means all the opponent monster may have higher level monster than me. Usually with the different level i am have higher chance to lose because of some ability monster are unlocked and give me some trouble. But,let see how the battle goes

Round 1 Part 1

As usual in the first round, first movement always both parties get buff and debuff from both summoners and monsters. in this case my team got

  • Magic Buffed by my Obsidian summoners
  • Additional 2 armor from Queen Mycelia Protect ability
  • Magic Debuffed by Opponent Goblin Psychic Silence ability
    in opponent side
  • Magic buffed by opponent Obsidian Summoner

in this battle i don't know what opponent thinking with placing Mycelic Slipspawn in the 3rd row. With Explosive Weaponry ruleset that will get blast effect to adjacent and that will be disadvantage. But other than that i am thakfully the opponent arrange like that so maybe i can get easy win.

after got buff and debuffed

  • My Grund beating up Venari Knifer and trampling Mycelic Infantry
  • in opponent side Mycelic Infantry and Regal Peryton got several damage from blast effect
  • in my side only Uloth Dhampir got damage by blast effect

Round 1 Part 2

The battle still goes on after My Mycelic Slipspawn got healed by Ultoh Dhampir,
*after several attack my Goblin Psychic finally beat up opponent Mycelic Splispawn

  • My Grund got defeated by opponent Mycelic Infantry with Giant Killer ability that make the damage double to monster with 10 mana plus

So in this round i can say the Martyr ability that i am use is failed and useless. my Grund fainted first and the mertyr effect only just give Queen Mycelia buff. Hopefully my defence not broken yet.

Round 2

Entering round 2 i am nervous because my frontliner tank Grund was defeated in the first round. hopefully my mini tank Fungus Flinger can hold any longer.

  • Mycelic Infantry got stun this round and blast effect killed Regal Peryton
  • My Mycelic Slipspawn defeated by opponent Goblin Tower
  • Mycelic Infantry got affliction so it cannot be healed

Round 3

In round 3

  • Uloth Dhampir once again stun opponent Mycelic Infantry
  • Opponent Goblin Psychic killed my Fungus Flinger and activated Martyr ability
  • My Goblin Psychic can double kill Mycelic Infantry and opponent Goblin Psychich due the blast effect

From the end of round 3 we all know that i am the winner because opponent left with Goblin Tower which is cannot attack due its range monster and my team still got Queen Mycelia, Goblin Psychic and Uloth Dhampir.
But,i am adding round 4 as the closing of the battle below

With range monster in frontliner and cannot attack yeah thats right opponent monster will be easily beaten by my monster that make i am win this battle.

Conclution

So,from this battle i can learn that positioning is very important. Placing taunt monster in between the attacking monster it will be disadvantage for us especially in Explosive Weaponry ruleset battle. With blast effect it can kill our attacker first before the taunt tanker die first. And second Martyr is not very good if placing in second row in Explosive Weaponry. It is better if placing Martyr monster besides in taunt tanker monster instead in second row. And, with looking silence ability from Goblin Psychic it is better if adding debuff monster that can attack too. it will reduce the power damage of the opponent and can make us win easily. Triage ability is very good ability too in Explosive Weaponry in this battle i bringing 2 monster that have triage ability that make my taunt monster cna holding longer than expected. but i think the opponent also prepared bringing affliction monster so you need to be careful with the triage strategy too. So all back again to the RNG if we got suck with RNG we can defeated easily especially if encountered with bot that using XBOT and Archmage bot. they got benefit from dev with pretty good RNG.
