[ENG-ESP] concept art - drawing an cyborg
Hello everyone, it is a pleasure to greet you again, recently I was watching (again) a movie that I really like "alita battle angel" in which a cyborg (alita) has to discover his past and face the battles that come his way. Honestly, those kinds of movies where they show us advanced technologies of a possible future always surprise me and make me want to draw, so today I bring you my process of designing a cyborg !!
But what is a cyborg?
A cyborg or cyborg is a creature composed of organic elements and cybernetic devices generally with the intention of enhancing the capabilities of the organic part through the use of technology.
So "R2D2" from STARS WARS is a cyborg?
no, that's a droid, but we'll see that later, let's continue with the process of creating my cyborg.
Hola a todos, es un gusto saludarlos de nuevo, recientemente estuve viendo (de nuevo) una película que me gusta mucho "alita ángel de batalla" en la que un cyborg (alita) tiene que descubrir su pasado y enfrentar las batallas que se le presentan. Sinceramente ese tipo de películas donde nos muestran tecnologías avanzadas de un futuro posible siempre me sorprenden y me llenan de ganas de dibujar, ¡así que en el día de hoy les traigo mi proceso de diseño de un cyborg!!
¿Pero y que es un cyborg?
Un cyborg o cyborg es una criatura compuesta de elementos orgánicos y dispositivos cibernéticos generalmente con la intención de mejorar las capacidades de la parte orgánica mediante el uso de tecnología.
¿Entonces “R2D2” de STARS WARS es un cyborg?
no, ese es un droide, pero eso lo veremos luego, sigamos con el proceso de creación de mi cyborg.

First I decided how I wanted my design to look, I thought about making a young girl and proceeded to start the sketch by drawing a circle and adding lines to shape the face, do not be frustrated if the initial sketch is ugly, all the initial sketches are like this and then details are added to them.
Primero decidí como quería que se viera mi diseño, pensé en hacer un chica joven y procedí a empezar el boceto dibujando un circulo y añadiendo líneas para darle forma al rostro, no se frustren si el boceto inicial les queda feo, todos los bocetos iniciales son así y luego se les va añadiendo detalles.
speaking about details, I always give a lot of importance to the eyes, I try to keep a general symmetry, with the same size of pupils and the same size of eyebrows.
hablando sobre detalles, siempre le doy mucha importancia a los ojos, intento que mantengan una simetría en general, con mismo tamaño de pupilas e igual tamaño de cejas.
The design is already looking pretty good, but it seems very human for my taste, so I will add divisions in the skin, to create that artificial effect.
Ya se va viendo bastante bien el diseño, pero parece muy humano para mi gusto, así que le agregare divisiones en la piel, para crear ese efecto artificial.
Now that I have the shape of my character ready, I begin to add extra objects to give more volume to the scene, some hair accessories, they will be my choice this time.
Ahora que tengo la forma de mi personaje listo empiezo a agregar objetos extras para dar más volumen a la escena, unos accesorios para el cabello, serán mi elección en esta ocasión.
At this point I finish the sketch and proceed to paint, the first thing I do is change all the color to the line of my drawing, sometimes it is good to leave the line in black but in many cases not, it is better to give it another color to soften and be able to harmonize with the other colors.
En este punto doy por finalizado el boceto y procedo a pintar, lo primero que hago es cambiar todo el color a la línea de mi dibujo, a veces es bueno dejar la línea en negro pero en muchos casos no, es mejor darle otro color para suavizar y poder armonizar con los otros colores.
I proceed to paint the ornaments gold and red, a combination that I particularly love, then add a background gradient, plus shadows and highlights to finish.
Procedo a pintar los adornos de dorado y rojo, una combinación que particularmente me encanta, luego agrego un degradado de fondo, además de sombras y luces para terminar.
