Β Β Β I should start by saying as I write this I am very distracted. I am in a hotel now in Indianapolis awaiting the results of my PCR COVID-19 test, which if negative, will allow me to board my flight to Cambodia, assuming there are no hiccups along the way. There has been a massive amount of posts in this community lately, and I've been so busy engaging and muting that I've found no time to post myself. When back in Cambodia I need to rethink my strategy for this community as it's now unsustainable for me to read and comment on every single post.
Β Β Β I am both happy and sad this day has come, but a change in life comes with a change in Hive, and in order to run challenges, contests, and being posting every day again from my personal profile, I'm gonna have to limit my engagement π°. That is maybe not the best segue into the main topic of this weekly post, engagement, but too much engagement prevents the ability to post daily and earn enough rewards to live, so it's important to find the balance.
Β Β Β Three particular Hivers whose engagement absolutely astonish me are @rosmadirazali, @reidenling90, and @humbledwriter. I don't know how they maintain these high levels and still find time to post also, very impressive. But I should say all 5 Hivers featured this week showed engagement levels way above normal, so thank you also to @maulidar and @asterkame for going above and beyond.
Β Β Β Shoutout to @wil.metcalfe and his project @comet.ranker, which is focused on supporting, rewarding, and encouraging engagement on Hive in general. If you have some spare HP to delegate, this is a worthy project.
ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY SALUTES YOU π

Your engagement is very good already, and of course your posts are outstanding.
Yes. Thank you for telling me this .... I keep trying.
this is very impressive information. Congratulations to those whose names have been mentioned above. Congratulations to those who haven't been mentioned, don't be discouraged, keep sharing stories here, because the @asean.hive community is our common foundation... healthy greetings always for all of us,??? ?
Up up up with ASEAN Hive, I love this community so much I only recently realized I'm hardly posting anymore from my profile and almost exclusively engaging and curating. I love reading insightful posts from all of you awesome Hivers.
Congrats for the negative result. I'm sure everything will go smoother from now onwards ππ
Shout out to the community if you need any help. We will be glad to offer any type of help that would benefits the community ππ
I hope you found the balance that you seek for ππ
Thank you @justinparke for mentioning me and the two distinguished gentlemen here. It is an honor. Congrats also to @maulidar & @asterkame ππ
@rosmadirazali
Thank you so much for your mention π
Wow, thank you so much for appreciating my engagement!!!!! Makes me want to keep going and improve even more!
Thanks my man for the kind words. I think sometime soon we'll need to bring someone into the team that can do an @asean.hive post once or twice a week and take care of curation for 24-48 hrs each week. If we had this, we could post 7 days a week from @asean.hive year-round, but still have some optional away-from-Hive time too.
Srey-Yuu is a big help, but of course we'd like to have one or two days a week where the whole family could relax and unwind if necessary. You've planted a seed in my mind, and I certainly need to mull this over a little more.
Congratulations @asean.hive! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s):

Congratulations on the negative results sir. This brings one step closer to Cambodia soon. Can't wait for your update leaving off to Cambodia. Yes I agree, maybe needed to do some balance or try out other methods due to high level of post. Maybe can give a see how it coup. Congratulations to selected winner, keep it up the good work. And congratulations to who not been selected. Don't give up. Your hardwork will be got features too βΊοΈ
Obviously this reply comes a bit late, I'm still playing catch-up, but you already know I've landed. So happy to be back in SE Asia. We're still sleeping in guesthouses and living out of suitcases, we have many errands and things to do here in the capital Phnom Penh. On Thursday we get our tuk-tuk from the assembly plant and we'll be on the road towards the Thai border to find a simple apartment to place our bags and breathe, calculate our next moves. Phnom Penh is expensive, we have to get out of here soon.
No worry about it sir . Most importanly is that you' landed safe and sounds and reunion with your family . Yes you're right . The sooner the better would be good for all of you. Take good care too sir . We will keep updating in asea hive too
COngratulation to all Asean Hivers who have made this great community alive. I am willing to hear from @justinparke soon the story of Cambodia. I was attracted by the post title with the plane flying. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
You already know I made it, I am sorry for such a late reply. I am still catching up after jetlag and 5 days of travel from the countryside in the USA to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Thank you so much for commending my level of engagement! I will for sure keep it up!
I see you in the comments section of many posts before I even get there, you're lightning fastβ‘.
I do my best!!!
Yehheeey! Cheers to those who are mentioned.
I don't have a community here but i feel the pressure. I hope you can board the plane soon and praying for your safe travel
I think the problem is most curators on Hive don't really interact with posts in a genuine way, and that was something I wanted to change with ASEAN Hive. I had also always hoped to be able to take the time to read and comment on every single post, but it's obvious now that's no longer sustainable due the size of the community now.
I need to sit down and formulate a time management plan, something I am horrible at. I need to limit my engagement to a fixed number of posts per day and accept that it's okay to upvote a post with the @asean.hive curation account and not leave a comment on the same post with my personal profile. It may sound silly, but all these minutes add up to hours, and they day disappears so quickly.
My oldest daughter has pledged to help me try and make sure between the two of us we try to engage with nearly every post in the community going forward, so we'll see if our duo is enough. Thanks for all the value and good vibes you bring to this community my friend.
that's our main problem, time. and internet connection too. I mysef has less time now in hive due my work load plus my kids which Im happy to spend time with. my youngest had been so clingy lately and i have to take this time until he decided to leave me for some time of my own.
writing the post can eat lots of time too especially when only using the phone.
Congratulations to everyone who made it to this list! You guys are keeping the community alive through your engagement. I'm hoping to be active soon now that our internet is slowly gettibg back.
Engagement has been the backbone since the beginning, especially when the HP was virtually zilch π. Glad to hear your internet situation is improving there, although the Philippines isn't exactly known for good internet even in the best of times.
Hahahahha. That is so true. Internet is not available everywhere. Even mobile connection is at scarce sometimes.
Trying to go back in my Engagement Day/Hour Schedule. Heheehe
Good luck for you
