April 27th, 2024This week there was a little more activity than normal in regards to delegations. Also, there was a 24+ hour power outage here in Cambodia, and when the power came back on, it was 11pm and I couldn't stay awake to catch up on work. For this reason the raffle is two days late, so apologies for that, but now I'm working to get everything back on schedule.
One of the first things I noticed was @maulidar, who upped her 100 HP to a generous 200 HP delegation, moving several ranks up the SILVERs and increasing her raffle odds so much that she actually won this week's SILVER raffle. There was more activity within the SILVERs, as @reidenling90 took his 120 HP delegation up to 160 HP, and already MEMBER @cdaveboyles23 become a SILVER VIP with a fresh 100 HP delegation.
Last but not least was @crazygal's new 50 HP delegation, joining the ranks of the BRONZE VIPs. I am so proud to see the constant growth of ASEAN Hive through the years, and I feel as though I know many of you greater than any offline friends. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 170,461, and total delegated HP is 155,900 HP (119,784 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

That's a pretty sweet app you have there. Does it only do numbers or can it randomize lists and such?
Mine is an iOS app, but I've lost access to several through the years, I assume due to geo-location stuff and the fact these apps can be used for gambling. The current one I am using is called Rafflenumbers, spelled like that without a space, it's one of the lower ranked raffle apps, but it performs the task I need, basically providing a 1 to XXXXX ticket count, and then a random draw.
It's pretty barebones, and there's also a dice roller within the app, but that's it. There are plenty of raffle apps with lists and more data options, even assigning names, etc., but of course you'll spend a lot more time setting it up each time as well.
