October 21st, 2022It's another raffle, another week, and I'm back to provide you all with delegation updates and a little ramble. @sujitsawant came onboard with a hot fresh 500 HP delegation, landing him a GOLD VIP spot, and also bumping the GOLD VIPs' share of the raffle proceeds up from 3% to 4%. @yzamazing increased her 50 HP delegation to 70 HP, and this rocketed her to the top of the BRONZE VIPs.
Just as I was about to publish this post, I noticed my numbers were wrong for the total delegated HP, off by several thousands, so I looked at the @asean.hive wallet to see if there were any recent updates, and that was when I saw my wife reduced her 10,035 HP delegation to 5,035 HP, and as I write this I haven't yet had a chance to ask her why, but I doubt it was a clerical error ☹️.
Life is a mystery sometimes, and I have been trying to make sense of a lot of things lately, but luckily the VIP Raffle is about as straightforward as it gets. There are the ticket numbers, the drawings, and the winners, and despite the simplicity, it is extremely fun to put this together each week. We might've taken a 5,000 HP loss this week from within the ASEAN Hive team's own ranks, but we'll rebound from this and continue to grow our combined HP.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 108,859, and total delegated HP is 102,147 HP (69,595 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

I see there is a new delegate who has delegated several mobile phones to support this community, I am grateful, and for those who resigned, I think there may be a separate reason we don't know each person's goal, maybe he took a step back to go further, by delegating bigger than the first, anything can happen
