February 4th, 2023This post is way later than normal because there were some HiveSQL problems that made viewing the list of incoming delegations impossible to view, and for this reason I wasn't able to assign ticket numbers to all the VIPs. However, it now looks like things are working normally and I was able to put a late raffle together for you all. We lost a handful of VIPs this week, and I don't want to name or tag them, but all accounts were from Aceh, Indonesia, suspected of plagiarism and AI post text creation, and most likely multiple accounts. A chat with Qurator confirmed my hunch, but before a lot of research was done, the accounts in questions began pulling their delegation.
Quality over quantity is a constant in ASEAN Hive, and although we are down in overall HP a bit because of the loss of some delegators, we picked up some new VIPs this week. Most notably @usagigallardo015 jumped from BRONZE to SILVER with a 50+ HP increase, and now that I think about it, that is actually this week. @sarimanok also jumped to the bottom of the BRONZE VIPs after reducing her 53 HP delegation to 50 HP, but otherwise the activity this week was mostly the loss of some accounts that weren't contributing to the overall value and aim of our little community.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 112,539, and total delegated HP is 104,073 HP (68,817 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

After a chat with fellow curators, some accounts posting in our community seemed a little suspicious. so actions were taken to maintain community value. 🙏🙏🙏
I just want to say that i love @selfhelp4trolls ' avatar. That made me laugh. I can probably delegate a bit more starting this week.
The username and profile pic is quite the combo. I will never say no to more delegations of course, but never give more than you can afford to. And speaking of delegations, I've accumulated nearly 10,000 HP in the @asean.hive account since the start of this community, and I was thinking that when we hit 10,000 HP I may let ASEAN Hivers decide how to potentially power down all or part of it and use it.
At current HIVE prices, a full power down would be worth $4,000 USD+. One idea I had was to buy a pre-fab bungalow and place it on our land, total end costs would be about $4,000, and I though perhaps work out a profit sharing system, perhaps distribute 50% of the monthly bungalow profits back to ASEAN Hivers in HBD, perhaps even an ASEAN Hive token, 365 minted per year, with one token worth a one-night stay in the bungalow. I could distribute the ASEAN Hive token once each month according to delegation size, and any ASEAN Hivers that will never be able to come visit could put their token shares up for sale.
A lot of ideas are bumping around at the moment, but first we need to finish the fence, get my longterm visa sorted, and I've also got to do a trip to the USA before any potential ASEAN Hive projects take place.
that sounds like an awesome idea, as long as i would be tolerated by the community I would be for it for sure.
I've tried following the voting trail but it didn't work, and one more mistake I made tonight was trying to add a delegation, from 250 HP to 300 HP, but I entered it wrong entering a number so it becomes a 50 HP delegate, I need to wait a week for my delegate to update.
No problem my friend, I have made similar mistakes before. I'll keep an eye out and be able to give you a little potential upvote boost when it comes around.
