Why Is Elanor Bravefoot So Expensive Despite Having Zero Mana Cost?
There are some monster cards whose price is very high. Especially, you will see some zero mana monster cards that are extremely expensive. First of all, it is important to understand the importance and specialty of a zero mana monster card.
Since their mana cost is zero, the biggest advantage is that they do not take any mana capacity. This means that even if your mana cap is already full you can still select zero mana monster cards.
In some battles, you can select only four monsters and two slots remain empty. In such battles you can select zero mana monster cards and take full advantage of their abilities, stats and powers.
Today I will talk about Elanor Bravefoot which is a zero mana monster card. If I talk about its price you will be surprised that at Level 4 it costs around $72 to $75. If you look at its powers they do not seem that amazing so why is its price so high?
Today I will discuss about this monster card and find out whether buying it for more than $70 is a wise decision or not.
Firstly lets discuss its visual display.. it looks like a small girl character wearing battle clothing. Her eyes and the crystal on her chest are blue in color and energy continuously comes out of them. She is holding an axe in one hand and is in action with the other hand. She looks ready to strike an enemy with a powerful blow that can eliminate them instantly..
Its visual design is very beautiful and I personally like the character very much. Honestly I have rarely seen a zero mana monster card with such good powers and abilities.
If I talk about its stats, it is a zero mana monster card with 2 Health. Since it costs no mana then having 2 Health is considered very good. If you place it in the backline position it can survive in battle for a long time.
Another important thing it has is 3 Speed which helps it act quickly every round. Since it is a ranged attacker, it also has +2 Ranged Attack Power allowing it to attack enemies every round.
More important than its stats are its special abilities which increase its value. It has three abilities that make this monster card very powerful. In fact I can say that it is better than many strong monsters. Even though its mana cost is zero it is more powerful than many monster cards because of its abilities.
Now let us look at its three special abilities...
WEARY
Weary is not really a beneficial ability. Usually, this ability is given to monsters that already have strong abilities, low mana cost, high attack, high speed or high health. It is added to keep the monster balanced.
At the start of Round 1 there is a 10% chance that the monster becomes Exhausted. In Round 2 the chance becomes 20% and it keeps increasing up to 80% ...
When a monster becomes Exhausted it misses its turn and cannot perform a counterattack because it is exhausted. Therefore this ability is not a strength of the monster...
BLASPHEMY OF UUL
The second special ability is called Blasphemy of Uul which is a newer ability found only on specific cards.
Its specialty is that it takes certain positive effects or abilities from enemy units and provides benefits to allied units. Allied units permanently gain +1 Ranged Power for each allied Divine Construct.
This is a very strong support ability because it gives allied units additional ranged power.
STRENGTHEN
The third special ability is Strengthen.
As the name suggests it is a very useful support ability. It gives all friendly units +1 maximum Health.
However it is important to understand that if the monster with Strengthen dies, the bonus also disappears.
Therefore it is best to place any healing or protection unit along side this monster to keep on protecting her. Because the longer she survives the more damage she gives to the enemy units.
PRICE / RENTAL
As mentioned earlier, at Level 4 this card costs around $72 to $75.
At Level 1, it costs around $9 to $14.
This is quite an expensive monster card. If you understand its stats and abilities you may decide to add it to your deck.
For players who cannot afford to buy it they can take this card on rent..
Level 1 can be rented for around 30 DEC per day.
Level 4 can be rented for around 300 DEC per day.
This option is for those who cant afford to buy such cards instead they take on rent.
