Hello Ladies of Hive Community, here is my entry and this week has two (2) interesting questions;

1️⃣ What is your most embarrassing moment that you can't forget?

Or

2️⃣ What is the story behind your Hive username?

And I’ll be answering the number question.

My most embarrassing moment is a very funny one and each day I remember I just bust into laughter, laughing about my stupidity LOL.

This happened sometime last year. I woke up on this faithful Monday morning as usual, getting all set for work, I was alone in the house that day. I checked my time and I realize I was getting late for work because I was preparing my breakfast (I don’t miss my breakfast) so I hurriedly did that and went straight to have my bath and got dressed in haste. My resumption time at work was 8:00am and as the time I left the house it was already 7:40am and it usually takes me 30 minutes to get to my working place from my house and I do not really know how I missed the time.

I was walking down the street to my bus-stop in haste to catch a bus, then a vehicle approached me from behind I almost did not want to stop because I thought it was some guy trying to woo me that morning. So I just turned to answer the call and then I discovered it was my neighbor they were two (2) of them in the car.

They were trying to tell me something but because I was running late I couldn’t hear them and I thought they wanted to woo me too LOL (I get that a lot). So I just paused to hear them out becauseI knew them, I do not want to snub or act rude, and I knew I was still going to get late before I get to the office.

The next thing one of them said was that "Your zip is opened “ the back zip of my skirt was opened! I almost melted, like I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me LOL...I was so embarrassed, because this was me giving rude attitude and all, like just say what you want to say and let me go...haha... it was really embarrassing. I thought about how many people that have walked passed me from behind, the cars, all the way from my house.

Ever since then I have been always conscious about my zips, even when I know I had already zipped it I still double check.

Thank you @ladiesofhive for this #65 contest. And thank you all for reading through.

Have a fulfilled week ahead 🤗

hahaha imagine walking around town with your zipper open!!!! That happens and it's embarrassing to think how many people have seen us. The good thing is that by looking at the zipper they forget about the face.

Ladies of Hive community Contest #65: what is your most Embarrassing Moment That You Can't Forget?
ife28 (62)in Ladies of Hive • 1 minute ago
Hello Ladies!

This is my very first participation in ladies of Hive community contest and i need you guys to please encourage me on this first post of mine 😘🤗... at first i wasn't sure if i actually wanted to upload my wedding pictures "MY WEDDING DAY EXPERIENCE "

The theme is MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT THAT YOU CAN'T FORGET and this experience written below flashes my mind when what you already planned or pictured in your mind beautifully turns out to be the most annoying and ugly thing, but then the memories and story behind it still keeps you smiling 🙂😊 and wondering if it actually happened in real life or was it a script play or something 😚 The reality was done on me that it was actually real,it happened and it had passed but the memories keeps coming 😆

I had to share this experience i had 2 years back now Nov 14th 2021 to be precise my wedding day, when i was preparing to walk down the aisle with the love of my life @olamilekan1. We both had gone through marriage counselling sessions and code of conduct for the church wedding most especially, because my parents were Anglican church member and they have protocols and conducts to follow before the priest could actually join intending couples as husband and wife.

Fast forward to the event it was actually a day ceremony for both traditional and the church wedding proper, the traditional wedding was intended to start by 7am Nigerian time on a Saturday morning and afterwards we proceed to the church wedding ceremony respectively without wasting much of time. My parent had informed cmy spouse's family to keep to time and also that the church wedding which was for 10am must be timely and lateness is not an option.

My husband tried all he can to hasting his people to keep to time unfortunately they came late to the traditional wedding, they arrived at 9am which actually affected the whole plans for both ceremony.

It was really annoying because the time frame was extended to the time i was suppose to be dressing up for the second ceremony which was the white wedding that requires alot of time because of my facialadornment and beauty accessories, to have my makeup done plus my hair installation.

All our plans was really disrupted, my wedding planner tried all her best to calm me down. I was nervous and perplexed same time because i don't want to be embarrassed by the church priest if i go late to the church.

I'm very sure for people knows how Nigerian African churches system operates, if a church wedding was scheduled for 10am and the bride gets there 10:05am, she will be lockef outside the church auditorium until the preaching is done by the priest then she will shamefully enter without any song or honour giving to her. While i was growing up as a young girl i often use to tell myself i that "I will get to the church earlier than the time for my wedding " hmmmmmm... but the case is the reverse in reality.

The traditional wedding ceremony ended 9:40am and my i had to rush down to the hotel where i lodged to change to my wedding dress. Getting to the hotel around 10am on the dot all the vendors i paid for were already waiting for me viz; THE MAKEUP ARTIST, THE HAIRSTYLIST . When i got to the hotel room where i lodged i was bemused on where exactly to start from, i haven't made my hair because i had to tie headgear for my traditional ceremony.

In no time i hastily changed to my wedding dress put on my shoe and sincerely i wanted to just go to the church like that without touching up my make up and having my hair installed... the pressure was too much this time around my phone was ringing time after time, back to back. Calls from my hubby, my parent and people that felt concerned about my whereabout. The church wedding haf already started and the bride is no where to be found😪😪😪.

It was such a disgrace to myself, my husband and my parents most especially my father. He was to walk me down to the alter of the church, without seeing me he can't enter the church to sit.

I got to the church 10:45am when the priest was about mounting on the pulpit for the sermon when my driver drove speedily to the church compound... people were already lamenting, coments from different angle "WHERE IS THE BRIDE" ? everyone keeps asking.

My husband was already in church waiting for his soon wife to be, to arrive🤗🤗 ... I was embarrassed not only by the priest when i was about to enter into the church unknowingly my wedding dress got torn under my armpit 🤣🤣🤣😪😪😔... I couldn't raise my hand up properly so that people will not notice it.

It was such that the earth should eat me up because i couldn't stand the shame and the whole mood.... But Thank God before the ceremony ended God took control and the whole " MESS " was turned to a great "MESSAGE" that birth a great joy and the whole ceremony ended with dancing and rejoicing. The priest also rejoiced with us 💃💃💃

I call on @omodolapo to participate on this contest 🤗

Thanks for reading 🥰🥰
