Paper Crafts: Let's decorate a column with paper hearts.

Hello

I hope you're having a great day.

I really really forgot about decorating my wall with paper crafts but today, suddenly I got up from sleep and I've seen the wall above my computer desk decorated with paper butterflies and that's been done by my wife. Then I remember that I wished to decorate almost all the walls of my living room so I started with a column that I decorated with paper hearts.

  • I got the idea from here.

Both of us (I and my wife) started watching some nice DIY paper crafts on youtube and suddenly both of us got the idea of decorating a part of the wall with paper hearts and both of us liked the idea so I didn't waste more time and I started doing it.

Necessary items

  • Paper
  • Scissor
  • Glue
  • Scale (not compulsory)
and a piece of wall which is more than compulsory.

After searching for a good spot for some time, both of us decided to decorate that column right beside the veil with paper hearts. I decided to add 17 hearts in 6 sizes and I wished to make it perfect.

To make it perfect, I needed to get some perfect size hearts and I used a plastic scale for that. I started with a smaller heart in size so that I could go up easily.

This is the first one that I made. At first, I folded and divided the A4 size paper into some pieces and then I folded the final piece and I drew half of a heart and then I cut it following the drawing and as it was folded so when I finished cutting the half of a heart, I unfolded the piece and got a whole heart. It's so easy.

Then I kept making paper hearts in different sizes and what you see above, that's all the hearts that I needed and there are 18 hearts in total. Yeah, I can understand that you're seeing only 6 hearts but each size has 3 pieces there.

Then I started gluing the hearts and I started attaching them to the column. At first, I attached only 5 hearts in different sizes in that direction that you can see in the photo above.

Then I attached 6 more hearts in another direction and till now I was following bigger to smaller from below to above. And then I attached 6 more hearts in another direction and this time I followed smaller to bigger from below to above.

It's finished decorating after all these things. I used 17 hearts on that column and that's the remaining heart in my hand. I left the blank space on the right side of that column to do something else. I'm thinking of decorating that part with a big sized paper tree with flowers maybe.
