My Actifit Report Card: September 20 2026

Every night before going to sleep, we resolve to do something, yet the next day we wake up and attend to everything except that specific task. Days slip by just like that.
I believe that when we set out to do something, we shouldn't let other thoughts distract us. One might argue that if a task is truly essential, we would naturally remember and complete it; however, my point is that we should be able to accomplish a task even if it isn't strictly "necessary."
We tend to complete essential tasks—whether they are difficult, enjoyable, or simply appeal to us—because we have to. The real challenge (and interest) lies in doing things that aren't strictly necessary; since there is no pressing need, we often postpone them, thinking we’ll do them later.
We need to allocate time for these tasks, but before that, we must focus our attention on them. After all, the elders say, "Where there's a will, there's a way." Consider how we use our phones: we might intend to check them for just five minutes, but before we know it, half an hour or an hour has passed—time flies.
We gain nothing from this; we simply waste our precious time. If we diverted even a fraction of that time to the task we intended to do, we could actually complete it. If the task is too large to finish quickly, we should work on it little by little every day.
I believe doing something is always better than doing nothing at all. If you have a different perspective, friends, please share it in the comments.
As for me, since today is a holiday, I haven't really done much. I woke up quite late and had breakfast, by which time it was already afternoon.
Since it wasn't feasible to have a proper lunch, I just went back to sleep. Later in the evening, I woke up and went out for a walk. Now, after dinner, I am waiting to go to sleep.
